16-Year-Old Blackish Star, Marsai Martin ‘Cries’ While Blowing Nose With $100 Bill, After Apologizing To Anyone Offended By Her Hair and Teeth At The BET Awards

Last night, Blackish star Marsai Martin made an appearance during the BET Awards to present the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist. Following her appearance, the 16-year-old star was met with criticism of her teeth and her hair.

Trolls flocked to social media to share their disapproval of her look, stating her teeth are veneers and that her hair looks like her grandmother’s wig. The actress took to social media to address the backlash in the most epic way.

“So, I was on Twitter, and a lot of people have been addressing my hair and talking about my hair, and how it looks like a ‘grandma’s wig.’ And they’re talking about my veneers.” The actress then pulls the retainer out of her mouth and tell fans, “these don’t look like a veneer to me.”

“I’m sorry to anyone I’ve offended or haven’t gotten to your expectations about how I’m supposed to be. I apologize. I never want to hurt anyone’s feelings or have anyone worry about what my decisions are,” Marsia states, while seemingly crying.

After the actress finally pulled herself together, she then reached over to grab a tissue. To the viewers’ surprise, the actress was handed a $100, which she used to blow her nose.

The actress finally ends the video reminding fans we’re still quarantined and have better things to worry about. “Ya’ll we’re in quarantine, and we’ve got more things to focus on than just my hair.”

The actress then followed up with a post thanking BET for recognizing herself and peer.  “Thank you @betawards for recognizing myself and my peers. Young black performers are overlooked by most major awards shows, so I am able to look forward to the BET Awards and the Image Awards to lift up our talented youth performers. I appreciate every vote and ounce of support. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and live out my dreams. I have been acting professionally for 10 years, and am still at the very beginning of this journey, Marsai stated.  She then went to discuss people feeling entitled to talk about you like a thing instead of a person.
