Despite a growing support for people of LGBTQIA experience to “come out” and “be themselves”, there are still several critics focused on who may or may not still be in the closet. Rumors of different celebrities and their sexuality have been rampant for years. Shemar Moore has been on the receiving end of several of those rumors. The attractive actor is known for his sexually charged image, one that appeals to both genders. He’s had to shut rumors down throughout his career, recently letting a fan have it in his comments.
Relationship guru Kevin Samuels was a recent victims of similar accusations. The viral advice maven is known for his sharp tongue and cutting opinions, so it was understandable that fans were looking for something negative to pin on him to bring him off his high horse. However they went for the long hanging fruit when accusing him of being gay after a video of a man sleeping appearing during one of his live chats. While he dismissed the incident as just a “glitch”, many took the opportunity to serve him a taste of his own medicine with some pretty off color remarks.

R&B singer Omarion was also accused of being “in the closet” during his time as the lead singer of B2K. Their often flamboyant imaging and dancing lead many to think they may all be queer. This was something his baby mother Apryl Jones was very aware of when excepting the invitation to join him on VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop.
“That whole situation with me and O on Love and Hip Hop was completely controlled.” She once said. “I never even wanted to do freakin’ reality TV. His management thought it would be good for him to show who he was and his life because there were gay rumors.”
Back in 2019, Shemar Moore was simply trying to show off his famously toned physique in an Instagram snap when one fan decided to “address” his sexuality. IT’S OK THAT YOU’RE GAY! We still love you!” she wrote. “Introduce me to your man so I can turn him DOWN and YOU…OUT!!!” he replied. “Keep playing with me…I’m READY!!!!”
