Red Table Talk’s mother & daughter duo Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith have been revealed to be more and more alike with every passing episode of their hit Facebook show. The family have keep it pretty candid when it comes to family revelations, past confessions and being transparent about their experiences as black women in Hollywood.
Jada, 49, and Willow, 20, have held no punches when talking sex and sexuality. They opened up in the past about their addictions to pornography, with Jada even confessing to catching an underages Willow watching porn.
Willow admitted to her mother on an episode of their Red Table Talk that she was “around 11” when she first discovered it online. “All my girlfriends were like, ‘Oh, you should [watch],’” she said to her mother during the episode. The “Madagascar” actress began to share the moment she caught her daughter.
“I remember the first time I went on Willow’s Tumblr, she was 10 or 11,” said Jada. “She was very matter of fact, she said, ‘I’m going to my Tumblr page but as we’re going to the Tumblr page you’re going to see a lot of stuff. This has nothing to do with me.’ So she’s just scrolling, scrolling. And when I tell you I saw some of the most hardcore pornography on Tumblr…”
Willow tried to interject but mom doubled down,”Listen, it was hardcore for you to be seeing that […] at 11 years old. I could not believe that,” Pinkett Smith recalled. “I saw some hardcore stuff. I was like, ‘Willow!’ And she said, ‘Don’t even pay attention to it…I can’t believe kids are being exposed to this on a daily basis. I was profoundly disturbed.”
On the Wednesday March 31st episode of Red Table Talk, the pair divulged new details on their sexuality as well.
During the chat, Jada told daughter Willow that she could see her “falling in love with a woman one day.” Willow agreed, stating, “I’ve had my fair share of swooning and being like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so beautiful. She’s so talented.’”
Jada confessed to also being swooned by women in the past adding “swooned a lot” over other women, adding “Two times I’ve been infatuated with a woman.” She went on to say this was “early, early on” in her twenties. She eventually went on to marry Will Smith in 1997.
Willow went on to say “I don’t feel like I’ve been in love with a woman just yet, but I definitely feel like it could happen, because I’ve had very strong feelings for women before.”
