Porsha Williams’ continues to be a topic of conversation following the announcement of her engagement. The Real Housewives star is catching some flack this week after she came forward with her new love, Simon Guobadia. Their new relationship sparked some controversy because Simon was previously married to her cast mate Falynn Goubadia, with whom she shared several scenes, including the day she met Simon. Many have been weighing in on their new love and if it is an issue, with some people coming to Porsha’s defense, including Adrienne Bailon.
Porsha and Simon went public Monday, hours after a photo of the two went viral. In the original post Porsha and Simon are photographed with Dennis McKinley, Porsha’s baby father. In the photo Porsha is sporting a massive ring, while McKinley set off people’s radars with a comment saying ““Congrats P,” and “Cheers to your next chapter! Happy Mother’s Day.”
Shortly after, both Porsha and Simon released statements clarifying that they’d only been together a few months and that their relationship precedes his split from Falynn who he is currently divorcing. Porsha told fans “Our relationship began a month ago, yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.”
Speaking on the new couple, the ladies of The Real shared their opinions and thought. Adrienne said “This is my take on the whole situation. If Falynn doesn’t have a problem with it, why should we??? If Falynn has moved on, his ex-wife has moved on, and she’s doing her thing…then let’s move on.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and The Real co-host Garcelle Beauvais also chimed in. “A month you guys, a month. First of all, he’s recently divorced, and there hasn’t even been enough time to reflect to see what did I do wrong, what did she do wrong, and now all of a sudden we’re engaged…sounds to me like it’s a story line for next season.”

When her co-host pointed out that this would be the equivalent of one of her The Real co-host running off with her husband Israel a month after they split, Adrienne retorted “Here’s the difference, Porsha Williams said her and Falynn are not friends. Y’all are my friends and I’ve lived life with you people. There’s a difference. They might have shot some scenes together, but that doesn’t mean they’re friends.”
