ASAP Rocky and Rihanna relationship is now official. The fashion forward pair have been friends and collaborators for years, with rumors of a romantic relationship begin to surface in recent times. The two seem like an ideal pair, both edgy pop stars with heavy roots in fashion and culture. ASAP has been candid over the years about what kind of women he likes what it would take for a woman to impress him. As fans begin to except that he was able to bag Rihanna, some have started pulling up older interviews where he discussed his ideal women and what he needs before falling in love.
ASAP and Rihanna have publicly interacted for years. Rocky was featured in a remix of Rihanna’s song “Cockiness (Love It)” back in 2012. On the song, the singer flexes about her sexual dominance over her partner. It includes such lyrics as like, “I can be your dominatrix / Just submit to my every order / Enter my diamond matrix / Devour my golden flower.”
The pair performed the saucy remix during the VMAs that same year. The set was full of flirting, including a rear end grab that signaled things were way more than flirty between the two. She later took her future boo on her Diamonds World Tour with her.
In the time since, the two rubbed elbows several times at various award shows, fashion shows and Rihanna’s annual Diamonds Ball. During which time they were connected to different people. Rihanna dated Hassan Jameel while ASAP Rocky was connected to Kylie Jenner.
The two did a flirty one on one interview last August for Vogue that showed off their adorable chemistry. it was obvious the two were becoming more than friends at the time.
In a recently GQ interview, Rocky confirmed their relationship saying Rihanna is “the love of my life”. “[It’s] so much better when you got The One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones,” he gushed. “I think when you know, you know. She’s The One.” He even alluded to wanting kids soon. “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely,” he told GQ. “I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child.”
Sounds like a far cry from ASAP of days passed. Three years ago he sat down with Angie Martinez to discuss his relationship goals. During the conversation he told the NYC radio host that he feels women should wine and dine him, as well as take him shopping. When asked why, Rocky feels like he’s a bad bitch.
