Azealia Banks Claims She Caught At Least Six People On Cardi B’s Team Stalking Her On Instagram

It doesn’t seem to take much for Azealia Banks to start a feud with someone.  Banks has a laundry list of those she’s either offended or disagreed with, but one of her favorite targets seems to be rapper Cardi B.  Unsure of the real reason as to why it seems as though the “212” rapper is unimpressed with Cardi’s achievements and will do whatever it takes to let her know.

Besides the music, Cardi B serves her fans with various looks in fashion.  While attending the Hollywood premiere of her feature film debut Hustlers, Cardi B was seen wearing a body-hugging 1995 vintage Jean Paul Gaultier optical illusion dress.  Not one to leave well enough alone, Banks noticed the dress and took to Instagram to post herself donning a similar optical illusion outfit.

“[Cardi B] LOL sis you make everything look so cheap and dirty. #jeanpaulgaultier #thirstbucket LOL,” she wrote before accusing her team of stalking her on Instagram (insta-stalking) for inspiration. “Funnily enough, I’ve found at least six Atlantic records employees following me and am sure her team scours my account for inspiration.”

Banks did not stop there.  She incited chairman of Atlantic Records Craig Kallman in an attempt to shift his attention toward her instead of the “I Like It” rapper.  “LMFAO … tell Craig Kallman to call me. Lose the chicken dinner and get with the winner. In fact … I may actually consider this. Azealia (Mermaid), Atlantic (Ocean) LOL … could be very magical,” she wrote.

Cardi B took the high road and did not respond to Azealia’s bait.  However, in previous times Cardi couldn’t ignore Banks’ jabs.  Azealia had a lot to say about Cardi while interviewing with The Breakfast Club after labeling Cardi an “illiterate hood rat” on social media.

“Two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was really reaching an all-time high,” Banks said, referencing Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Ironically enough Beyonce has also been on the receiving end of one of Azealia’s tirades. “There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally and then everything just kind of changed and then it was like Cardi B. I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with. Like, if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be cancelled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day.”

In a since-deleted tweet, Cardi B slammed Azealia Banks for always belittling women.  “A woman who constantly finds joy in belittling black women… can’t try and stand for them because it’s convenient! The difference between me and you, I’ve never pretended to be or represent someone I’m not! I’ve made it where I am for being myself and staying true to that. I’m not trying to represent nobody but myself,” she wrote. “I know who I am! A daughter to a Hispanic father and a Caribbean mother and I’m proud of that!”

She added, “How smart are you if you don’t know that the meaning of illiterate means to not know how to read or write. I can do both and speak two languages fluently. Just because I mix a few words up forget to use commas or misspell a few words doesn’t make me illiterate and doesn’t make me stupid. You think [you’re] advocating for women and [you’re] doing the opposite! I pray you find peace in your own heart and reason in your own mind! Pray for your own success before you pray for the downfall of others!” she concluded.
