If there’s anything that Azealia Banks can do in the bizarre department, it’s top herself. Fans of the “Broke With Expensive Taste” rapper were subjected to some weird visuals when she proceeded to dig up the three-month-old skull of her cat, Lucifer, and boiled it for her followers to witness.
In the past Banks has been seen sacrificing animals in some disturbing videos, claiming to be practicing witchcraft. After posting both the appalling video as well as a photo of her cat, fans began to safely assume that her reasoning for the action was to eat it. The rapper took to social media to refute those claims, attempting to defend herself.
‘It’s called taxidermy,” wrote the rapper. “Plenty of hunters with preserved deer heads hanging off their wall… Darlings… You guys are being racist and this is very [non-BLM] of you all.” She continued to explain that “The cat’s head is soaking in peroxide to fully clean him, then I’m taking him to a jewelry shop to have it guilded. Lucifer was an icon. He deserves to be preserved. You girls are not tough like me.”

Banks had an appearance recently on Australian radio station KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Morning Show where she made the attempt to clarify all assumptions. “Absolutely not, no I didn’t eat the cat,” Banks stated adding, “And firstly, I wouldn’t eat a cat that has been dead for three months. I don’t know what you think happens when you go to a medical school and you see a skull or skeleton there, it’s the same thing that happens.” In the video she also says that the cat died from a kidney stone, stemming from a poor diet.
Her next action, however, upped the ante on the ludicrous meter when she revealed that she has a collection of skulls and shows one that catches the show’s hosts completely off guard. “There are lots of scientific research websites where you can buy human skulls like this one,” she says before showing the skull to the camera.
“This is the skull of a six-year-old girl who died of head trauma,” Banks states. When the hosts ask her why she would want to possess that, she replies, “I love bones… I respect the afterlife. I think that the bone is where the energy holds for a person.”
This will no doubt concern her fans even more, as she’s also tried to incite a feud with rappers Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion recently. While neither have responded, they are currently sitting atop the iTunes charts for their remix to Ariana Grande’s latest single “34+35”.
