Beyonce and Jay-Z. The Carters: two of the world’s biggest superstars that live and remain in the stratosphere. Some love to hate them, others love to love them. Outside of the music, their fans get excited every time they get a peek into the couple’s family life and household. Recently, the superstar couple shared a rare family portrait that has everyone grateful for the adorable showing as it also included the twins, Sir and Rumi.
After suffering an unfortunate miscarriage, the journey to parenthood became official in 2011 when Beyonce unexpectedly became pregnant while on a Paris trip to shoot the cover for her album, 4. Furthermore, who could forget the endearing reveal of her baby bump at the 2011 MTV VMA’s after a rousing performance of her hit single “Love On Top”?
And then on January 7, 2012, she arrived at Lenox Hill Hospital in Harlem, New York. Blue Ivy Carter. An instant legend for some. Fans of the “Dangerously In Love” singer had been waiting for this moment.
Time magazine declared her the “most famous baby in the world” days after she was born. Blue would go on to be the apple of the public’s eye for years and years. Would she be an amazing lyricist like her legendary father? Perhaps entice the world with her vocals like her legendary mother? Maybe both?

The world could not wait to find out.

It wouldn’t take long to discover the greatness that was brewing in Blue Ivy. As she began to grow, so would her adorable and commanding personality. Her appearances would often leave the cheeks of those who encountered her or came across a visual or picture of Blue in a behind-the-scenes or candid experience, properly exercised from excessive smiling.
Soon, the accolades would begin to pour in. It was inevitable for the young starlet to appear on her parents’ music. Unaware of what she was doing, her cries ended up on her father’s “Glory” record moments after she arrived in the world becoming one of her first introductions to the world. She had already been cemented as the youngest person to chart on Billboard.
Years later, her vocals graced Beyonce’s “Brown Skin Girl, also featuring Saint Jhn and Wizkid. The song was a standout on The Lion King: The Gift album, garnering multiple accolades for Blue. Her feature brought on recognition from the NAACP Image Awards and the Grammy Awards, also making her the second youngest person to become a recipient of the latter.
Beyonce again stopped the world, something she’s quite accustomed to doing (actually without even trying), in 2017 when she announced that she was pregnant again. This time, the couple’s family was expanding in an even bigger way because she was carrying twins. Joyfully, they welcomed their newest additions, Sir and Rumi Carter, into the world in June of the same year.
The ever-elusive couple does their best to control what is released into the media, especially as it pertains to their family. That is why fans were extremely elated to see a recent snapshot of the Carter clan, and if “they grow up so fast” were people, it would be their children.
Many remember Blue as the pint-sized “mini Jay/Bey combo”, and envision the twins as toddlers still. To everyone’s surprise, Blue is almost as tall as her mom!
In the photo, Blue stands tall next to Beyonce at almost shoulder length. Her twin siblings aren’t even paying attention to the camera, but the joy jumps off the photograph. Parents Jay-z and Beyonce also stand on the outside of their children as they pose for Bey’s hairstylist, Neal Farinah’s picture.
The picture was originally posted on Snapchat and has since been deleted, but not before being captured by The Shade Room. Fans immediately reacted to the photo, with comments of glee for the Carter sighting.
Many fans noticed the similarities in Blue and Rumi’s appearance, as well as her height. “Blue gone be tall and she clearly also has a mini-me,” commented a fan under the picture. Another direct fan of Blue hilariously comments, “you mean blue ivy & her clients.”
You love to see it!
