Boosie Badazz and Dywane Wade have been in the same headlines a lot in recent months. This is largly thanks to Boosie’s comments early last year on Wade’s daughter Zaya Wade who is Trans. In the time since, Boosie has doubled down and has even gotten a response from Wade. Vlad and Boosie are currently in the middle of a series of releases, the latest of which addresses how Boosie feels about Wade’s response.
During one of Boosie’s earliest rants on instagram live, the Louisiana rapper was very vocal about how uncomfortable he was with the situation. “That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gon’ be. They don’t have it figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her […] how he gon’… like, bruh, you going too far, dog.” Continuing, Boosie stated, “Like bruh, if he gay, let him be gay. Like don’t address him as a woman, dog. He’s 12-years-old, dog. He’s — he’s not there yet. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet.”
B2K’s J Boog seemed to echo similar sentiments as he made some comments on Zaya as well. J-Boog jumped in the comments section of a Hollywood Unlocked post about Zaya’s interview with former first lady Michelle Obama that was captioned “Michelle Obama praises Zaya Wade”. J-Boog unloaded on what he felt was a “demonic” display of men being turned into women and women becoming “more manly” everyday. He went on to say. “This child shouldn’t be the front runner of the movement.”
Dwyane Wade made sure to make his feels very clear on these two men in a sit down with “I Am An Athlete” podcast back in March. While he made sure to brand both Boosie Badazz and Boog “haters”, the proud father went on to thank them for sharing their opinion. Wade feels like the more people who chime in, the more the conversation continues, which ultimate benefits kids like his daughter Zaya because through the dialog will hopefully come some understanding.
When asked how he felt about this response, Boosie seemed to be at a loss for words initially. Eventually he responded that he “has boys to raise” and would like to stay out of this situation completely, something he wishes he’d done from the beginning.
