Fashion has been constantly evolving over the years. With more big brands moving towards more gender inclusion and more men in mainstream culture straying away from “traditional” male attire, its no wonder more lines are including skirts and heels for men. ASAP Rocky, Harry Styles and Kid Cudi have all done their part towards normalizing these trends, and Burberry is looking to help solidify it.
Yesterday we reported on actor/comedian Brandon T. Jackson, who took great issue with Kevin Hart recently donning a dress during his new film Fatherhood. In the movie, Kevin wears a school girl outfit. Jackson took to his social media to express his concern and discontent with Hart’s choices, sighting his past experience dressing as a woman for the Big Momma’s House franchise and how it ruined his career.
In a 2019 interview with Comedy Hype, Jackson claims this role completely ruined his career. “Everything went wrong when I put on that dress” he says in the interview. He goes on to say he’s not sure how it worked out for Tyler Perry and his Madea character, but for him the dress completely derailed him.
Brandon T Jackson said God “cursed” him for wearing a dress and he was trying to “warn” Kevin Hart. Baby….God is not vengeful and wrathful towards his children for breaking SOCIAL NORMS. Why do y’all lie on my God like that???

Speaking on Hart, he said “Love you bro, but I walked away from this and now, Yah will exalt my horn is HIS name. You are gonna have to sit down for a while in the spiritual penalty box!! Yah is mad at you, but I’ll help you through it brother.”
Kid Cudi made a splash at his recently Saturday Night Live performance wearing a dress as well. It was a tribute to Kurt Cobain, a fellow boundary pusher. he tweeted “Virgil designed the dress for me. I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt [with] a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece. Thank You @virgilabloh ur a f—– genius!! Love you man we did it!!!” after his performance.
Thank you for breaking gender norms with your tribute to Kurt Cobain! We need more men who feel comfortable with themselves! I released a film in December called The Bearded Princess to prove it’s okay to be different – for straight men to be feminine!https://t.co/brjzFdYHzN pic.twitter.com/GiolDYg78I

In another push towards blurring the gender binary, Lil Yachty also launched a line of men’s nail polish. He took to social media to announce his latest forray into genderless fashion. “I’d like to introduce my new nail paint line @crete__co,” he captioned the post. “FIRST COLOR DROP MAY 21. 4 ALL GENDERS. FOR YOU, NOT THEM!”
In regards to the new Burberry line, some are not too happy with the new mens line and took to twitter to express their concerns.
