There’s a lot of people that collectively want to get Candace Owens out of here. For one, she is a staunch MAGA supporter as she speaks against many African American people and figures while speaking against much of Black culture (and Black joy for that matter). With all that Owens is loud and proud about, you would be surprised to know that the Conservative once had to utilize the very same people that she screams against, to help her at a time she claimed to have needed most.
Owens has been in plenty of rifts with different people while singing the praises of former President Trump. Owens has engaged in social media wars with Cardi B, John Legend and his wife, and others, while doing her best to rile up President Barack Obama.
“Can someone please tell @johnlegend that I openly challenge him to a debate regarding his stance that Trump’s policies have harmed people of color but Obama’s policies didn’t?” Owens once tweeted to the “Bigger Love” singer. “He has me blocked since his unstable wife attacked me, but I’d love to publicly debate him.”
Candace and Cardi B also got into a legendary Twitter back and forth surrounding the rapper’s song WAP, which some thought to be over-sexualized. However, that was not the first time that Owens came after the chart-topping rapper. Owens also begged her followers to retweet a message to her favorite target, as she had a message and offer for her.
Charity* of her choosing. Sorry @iamcardib, I was thinking of Bernie’s political campaign when I typed this out.

“I see that @iamcardib is politically advocating for Bernie Sanders with claims that Trump is bad,” Owens tweeted to her followers. “I would like [to] publicly offer 250k to a political campaign of her choosing if she will publicly debate her stance with either myself or ANY black conservative I choose.”
Owens, who has openly criticized BLM and the movement, has not been shy of racist rhetoric herself. A video clip of Owens speaking on nationalism and Hitler definitely did not paint her in the best light.

“When we say nationalism, the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler. He was a national socialist,” she said. “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine.”
Candace added, “The problem is he wanted, he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize, he wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German, everybody to look a different way. To me, that’s not nationalism. So in thinking about how it could go bad down the line, I don’t really have an issue with nationalism, I really don’t.”
There was then the time that Owens had a conversation on Conservative news station Fox News where she spoke with another fellow MAGA supporter, Laura Ingraham. Within that conversation, Owens passed off what some are calling to be extremely hypocritical claims that she has never experienced race issues in America.

“Obama did a lot to tear this country apart. I do not remember when I was growing up having all of these race issues. Okay? I really don’t remember,” Owens proclaimed. “When I was alive, this was not an issue. It all became about race.”
A far and different cry from a time she recalled in her life that occurred in 2007 when in her hometown of Stamford, Connecticut, a group of white boys threatened her and hurled racial slurs at her. “They started off by telling me that they were going to k*ll me ‘just because’ I was black,” she stated in an open letter back in 2016 to the Stamford Advocate.
Candace has also openly spoken out against the NAACP, calling the organization “one of the worst groups for black people. All they do is jump on a platform, and they never talk about real issues that are facing the black community. It’s all about PR for them, so I’m sure if they’re involved then it’s got to be absolute BS.”
More hypocritical speech from Owens, who is documented to have worked with the NAACP as well as utilized their help in that very same situation that she spoke of in her open letter.
In quite the plot twist, Scot X. Esdaile, Connecticut NAACP president, informed the world that Owens had not been this way when he knew her more than a decade ago. In fact, she was a liberal. Esdaile was also part of the reason that she was able to win the hate crime case, which also involved the son of then-Stamford mayor Daniel Malloy, Connecticut’s current governor.
“We’re very saddened and disappointed in her,” Esdaile said to Mic. “It seems to me that she’s now trying to play to a different type of demographic. It’s the same type of thing Clarence Thomas did. [Thomas] reaped all the benefits of affirmative action and then tried to roll over on it. It’s that kind of mentality and disrespect.”
