Cardi B and Offset Criticized For Purchasing 2-Year-Old Daughter $9,000  Hermès Birkin Bag, Rapper Says Her Daughter Gotta Match Her Fly

Cardi’s on the offensive, again, after the Internet critiqued her and father Offset for gifting their 2-year-old daughter with a Birkin bag for her birthday. Despite the fact that Cardi always manages to find a way to tell people to mind their business, people keep coming back and trying the “Be Careful” singer over what she posts on social media about her child Kulture.

Kulture, for the most part, seems to be totally opposite from her mother. Cardi recently posted a video in which, using her signature voice, Cardi calls out to Kulture over and over. When Cardi gets closer to Kulture, she can be seen just watching her iPad and ignoring her mother’s voice, while sucking on a pacifier, unbothered. Cardi just looks at the camera before walking away and it shuts off, sharing a moment that other mothers can probably relate to.

Cardi later shared that Kulture was being a ham for the camera. “And guess who made me get out the shower, thirty minutes later after this live with soap on me just to tuck her in and cuddle her to sleep? Yes Miss Kulture,” Cardi said.

While many thought the video was cute, one fan commented on Kulture’s use of a pacifier, that she can be seen taking in and out of her mouth while she occupies herself with her iPad. You know Cardi B wasn’t having that talk, and definitely came for the commenter (who of course, didn’t tag Cardi).

Now, people have found themselves upset about a gift from parents to child that they observed online. Lavishing their first child with gifts is something most parents do. Even the Internet pointed out how often other celebrities do the exact same things that Cardi and Offset do but do not get the same reaction about.

Presenting Kulture with the box, Offset opens her gift while mother Cardi records, revealing a pink Birkin bag worth about $9,000 apparently. Cute Kulture holds the purse in the crook of her arm before becoming seemingly uninterested and setting the purse back in the box before the video ends.

Some fans have noted similar occasions passing with much less controversy, if there’s any at all. Kylie Jenner has previously shown off her daughter Stormi’s purse collection on social media. DJ Khaled gifted his 1-year-old son a diamond Rolex watch, at one point. Because Cardi is a popular social media figure that tends to be very outspoken however, she’s gotten even more flack than most.

Cardi, of course, took to her Instagram stories to hit back at fans and their opinions on her daughter, much as she’s done before.

“Celebrity kids, they go to red carpets. And if I’m fly and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing [Chanel], my kid’s having the same thing. It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was [up to] the kids, they’d be outside in diapers,” Cardi said in her video. Lastly, she summed it all up with one last jab at the haters.

“So I’m not mad that daddy bought baby a Birkin. She gon’ match mommy.”
