Dwayne Wade is celebrating his birthday in a bold way, and his kids are super not feeling it. The 39 year old retired basketball star took to his instagram today to show off his toned physique, wearing nothing but his birthday suit. Wife and actress Gabrielle Union joined him for the photo op wearing a white rode and a smile, keeping her husband slightly decent by blocking his lower half from the camera. “Birthday Behavior” he wrote in the caption. “39 is already looking up”. The photo has already amassed over 1 million likes.
While most of the comments came from fans and oglers admiring the athlete and wishing him a happy birthday, it was his kids Zaire Wade 18, and Zaya Wade, 13 who weren’t too excited about the post. “This isn’t what I wanted to wake up to.” said Zaire, while Zaya responded “Ayooooo chill, I just got on”.
Wade and Union’s youngest child Kaavia, 2, also had something to say. Posting from a verified account made in her name, the post said “Though I had more time before his midlife crisis”.
The family has been in full celebration mode this week, with Union tweeting earlier in the day “Happy Birthday baby 🖤. You make every day beautiful and fun and the way you protect our peace makes me swoon. I love loving you. 39 🔥🔥🖤🖤😜😜.”
Zaire showed dad some love saying in his own post saying “”3️⃣9️⃣🤞🏾 Love you deeper than the surface 🖤,” with an accompanied father son throwback. Zaya followed suit, saying “Happy Birthday Dad!! 39 years young🍰❤❤🎉” in her own sweet throwback picture.
In a follow-up post, Wade can also be seen celebrating with friends and family and enjoying a performance on the beach by dancehall legend Beenie Man. He and his party can be seen sharing drinks and singing along in the post captioned “🇯🇲 feels like home🖤 @kingbeenieman 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 for the love 👑”
The singer thanked him in a separate post saying “ Earth day blessings to my brother @dwyanewade, more life & blessings🙏🏿. Respect & love to @gabunion. 🖤 Tonight was one for the books!”
