Sadly, 2020 has claimed yet another beloved entertainer and human – Compton’s own, actor Tommy “Tiny” Lester, Jr, at the age of 62.
After a brief career in Professional football, Lester Jr. rose to the fore as a crazed and intimidating nemesis to Hulk Hogan in the World Wrestling Federation under the “Zeus” moniker while simultaneously starring in a feature film in a near identical capacity opposite the star wrestler.
He would later become America’s favorite neighborhood bully, “Deebo”, in the first of Ice Cube’s Friday series and portray the president in The Fifth Element alongside Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich in 1997.

Lister had a bout with the novel Coronavirus early this year and voiced concerns that he contracted it a second time. His representative, Cindy Cowan, told reporters that Lister had the virus with common symptoms such as respiratory difficulty yet was never admitted to a medical facility despite having diabetes.
Lister cancelled his call time for filming an upcoming movie as well as a scheduled virtual conference after telling his rep that he was suffering with some of the same symptoms again.
After a few days of resting and isolating at home, the imposing actor passed away; found by officers from the L.A. County Sheriffs Department on a health and welfare check.
Cowan noted that Lister expressed desire to take the vaccine to freely return to a more normalize standard of living.
It was also mentioned that family and close friends believed that it was the virus to which Lister succumbed.
