Rapper Future Claims Russell Wilson Is Controlled By Wife Ciara and Does Exactly What She Tells Him To Do, In Resurfaced Interview

Singer Ciara got the picture perfect happy ending when she married NFL player Russell Wilson. The couple went public shortly after Ciara and Future’s (the father of her eldest child of the same name) nasty break-up. The rapper has continued to take shots at the happy couple over the year, despite them moving on.

“I’d have moments when I would be in the shower, I’d be crying,” Ciara said about her break up with Future. Talking with hosts Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Jones on “Red Table Talk” in a 2019 interview. “I had a few different settings — crying in the bedroom, crying in the shower … crying because I’m not in the happiest place, and it hurts what I’m going through.”

“I grew up with my mom and dad being together, the idea of it being, ‘Mommy and Daddy made baby,’ then all of a sudden you’re living your life in front of the world. That adds a whole ‘nother layer,” she explained of their split. “‘I feel like I’m failing right now. Other people, they’re gonna roast me. Here they come in the comment section. I’m about to get fried.’”

Wilson and Ciara made their first public appearance as a couple in April 2015 at a White House state dinner in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. It remains unclear how the pair met initially. The couple continued dating and eventually got engaged in March on 2016.

That same year Ciara expressed concerns that Future may try to harm Wilson. In legal documents from her defamation lawsuit against the Altanta MC and father of her firstborn son, Ciara laid out a number of supposed threats Future had made against Wilson.

Ciara saw Instagram post with a gun emoji pointed at football emojis and assumed it was in reference to Wilson, along with lyrics in Future’s song “Juice.” Future raps, “Tryna f— my baby mama, dog what’s up with you? You gon’ make me get that heat, I’m pulling up on you.”

Future made an appearance on Beats 1 for Freebandz radio. The rapper discussed Wilson and held no punches on his thoughts about him.

When asked what he thought about him, he said “He do exactly what she tell him to do.” He continued on saying he should be a “man” and not allow Ciara to mention his name in public. The rapper said “He not tellin’ her, ‘Chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband!”

Since the interview, Ciara and Future have reconciled. Last year, the rapper dedicated a tweet to Ciara to show appreciation. ‘Happy Mother’s Day Ci..Baby Future is Life, Preciate u [sic],’ he tweeted to the singer in a series of tweets dedicated to the mother of his children.
