“Scottie Pippen Has Something to Say” is the titled of a GQ article spotlighting the former NBA player. He caught up with the publication to discuss his new bourbon and his upcoming memoir. He also opened up about his thoughts on Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Phil Jackson, Kevin Durant, Ben Simmons, and more. Barkley caught wind of his comments and fired back, promoting a fiery response from Pippen.
Pippen is in the headlines pretty often thanks to his ex-wife Larsa Pippen. The popular socialite has wasted no time increasing her visibility in recent years with several dating scandals, viral thirst traps and her highly publicized relationship with Future. She recently launched an OnlyFans as well, just weeks after getting roasted online because of her involvement with NBA player Malik Beasley. Many people accusing her of clout-chasing, as the young player just signed a $60 million dollar contract for 5 years with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Determined to distance himself from his toxic ex-wife, its obvious Pippen is looking to spotlight all the other things he’s got going on at the moment. While he discussed his upcoming book, favorite bourbon and more he decided to unload on some of his past team mates. One in particular, Charles Barkley, seemed like the source of some unresolved tension stemming from a stint they shared on the Houston Rockets.

Pippen joined the Rockets in 1999 and immediately demanded a trade after only one season. Barkley spoke out against Pippen and said the six-time champion owed him an apology for leaving the team so soon. Pippen fired back claiming Barkley owed him “an apology for coming to play with his sorry fat butt.” He also called Barkley “selfish” and said he “wouldn’t give Charles Barkley an apology at gunpoint.”
Pippen doubled down on his thoughts on Barkley, in his latest rant he said: “I never apologized to him, but I’ll tell you what: He only got arrested for throwing some little White guys out of a window. I ain’t never seen him fight a Black man unless there were referees around. He plays his role like he’s tough. I don’t know nobody he done whooped. Go back and check his record. Did I apologize to him? I told him to get me the hell out of there. That’s what I recall.”
