‘I Left Before He Cheated or Have A Kid On Me’: Rapper Cardi B Reveals Decision To Divorce Offset Was Due To The Couple Growing Apart, Decided To End Before Something Bad Happens

Cardi B has chosen to break her silence over this week’s revelation of an impending divorce between her and rapper Offset.  As the days went by and with the silence being deafening from both parties, fans on social media as well as some media outlets began to report speculations surrounding the news of the filing.  The closest that supporters would get to official news would be when sources close to Cardi’s camp would disprove rumors, but now fans have gotten a mouthful from the rapper as she’s come forward to speak up on the marriage’s end.

Friday night, Belcaliz hopped onto Instagram Live to squash rumors and get a lot of things off of her chest.  She started off the lengthy video thanking all her fans and supporters that stuck with her through this tumultuous time.  However, the “WAP” superstar wants everyone to know that she isn’t hurting about it, as she expressed “I don’t really need it. I’m okay.”

“I wanted to let y’all know I have not shed not one tear,” Cardi continued. “Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so f****ed up and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always sad because I don’t like that type of sh*t.”  The rapper went on to express that even though she was previously hurt by the Migos rapper’s past offenses with her, she’s singing a different tune this time around.

“This time, I wasn’t crying,” the “I Like It” rapper stated.  “You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that sh*t that ever happened before. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f—ng complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls**t.”

The Grammy Award winner then went on to explain the reasoning behind filing for divorce from the Atlanta rapper, saying the two have just outgrown one another, dispelling cheating as the rationale behind her decision.  “I just got tired of f—-ing arguing,” she stated. “I got tired of not seeing things eye-to-eye. When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave. Nothing crazy out of this world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart.

“I been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man,” she continued, referring to their two-year-old daughter Kulture.  “I have a household with this man…sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments and the build-up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave.”

The rapper also shot down rumors that she was doing it for “clout”, as she also confirmed she doesn’t have an album coming out soon, much less a rumored “Lemonade” themed album where she would bring candid details of her marriage.  “I don’t do stunts,” she firmly says. “I don’t need stunts and I don’t need any stunts that comes to family to sell anything. I don’t understand why people want [the] reason for the divorce to be something so, so bad.”
