“I’m Confident In My Own Skin”: Cardi B Claps Back At Haters Criticizing Her Face

Cardi B has a lot to celebrate as she’s once again going back to a familiar space: the top of the charts.  The release of her latest single “UP” has been nothing short of spectacular with the song and its visual both atop iTunes charts and dominating social media conversation.  Just like the hook on Cardi’s latest single, she’s “UP” once again and looking to be “stuck” on the charts.  Her fans are too busy jamming out, but detractors (and perhaps some fans) have noticed something a bit different about her and are choosing to highlight something else that they feel is newly “up and stuck.

The music video for “Up” is a colorful one full of choreography and other stunning visuals from the rapper.  Cardi and her team have recently unveiled part 1 of behind the scenes footage from the music video, and fans have noticed that the rapper’s face, even though she’s devoid of makeup, looks noticeably different.

With the new clip being released, fans are pointing out that her face looks like she has gotten some newly done work on her face.  “Cardi still pretty but she shouldn’t have ever touched her face,” tweeted a fan.  Another fan commented on her self-esteem yet tried to “encourage” the rapper to listen to her family and friends that she doesn’t need any more work done.

“You already looked pretty and more natural when you promoted WAP,” the fan writes on Twitter. “You need to learn to listen to your fans and your family, the people who love you the most. why did you do all that to your face? I hope you hire a therapist, it is obvious that your self-esteem is so low.”

Cardi has neither confirmed nor denied that she has gotten work done, but she isn’t shy of sharing whether or not she gets a cosmetic procedure. Last year around this time, she was subjected to rumors of having a nose job after walking around pre-pandemic with masks.  The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to Instagram Live to defend her choice of getting plastic surgery.

“Listen, I do whatever the f**k I want to do with my body,” the rapper said.  “Let me tell you something […] I don’t have the time of day like you do. Like, my job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro. So no, I don’t have time to work out and I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out – is not get fixed.”

During a live performance in Memphis, she also spoke on her recent plastic surgery and how she shouldn’t be performing due to her health risks.  “I shouldn’t really be performing. I should’ve canceled today because moving too much is gonna [mess] up my lipo,” she said. “But b***h, I’m still gonna get this money bag, let’s go!”

After new images of the rapper went viral, Cardi B went online to address the latest accusations.
