Jada Pinkett-Smith just can’t catch a break. The actress and wife of fellow Hollywood luminary Will Smith made all the headlines with her highly publicized “entanglement” with Rapper/Singer August Alsina earlier this year. Now, a recently resurfaced video has inquiring minds asking questions.
The video? A 1996 clip of Jada Pinkett and Sidra Smith, twin-sister of actress Tasha Smith, in prep for Tisha Campbell’s wedding. The very short clip captures the two seated very closely donning white robes in an exchange that the Internet – in all of their infamous glory – has interpreted as flirtatious, to say the least.
The Twitter post featuring the clip has been viewed over 117,000 times, shared by more than 31,000, and has an endless string of hilarious comments. Difficult to clearly identify over Whitney Houston’s cover of “I’m Every Woman” being synched with the edited video, Jada can be heard saying to Sidra, “You look like a black Barbie.” To which, Smith turns back and replies, “Darling, I am a black Barbie doll.” She then smiles and sticks her tongue out.
One user user commented, “She was gonna end up Jada Pinkett Smith one way or another.” Followed by another one with a crying Will Smith gif captioned, ‘“…we agreed to only women Jada…”’

Well, gosh darn.
The starlet couple who have been dogged by rumors of infidelity and having an open marriage gave all the power back to the gossip channels when Alsina spilled the tea on Jada. The clamor was so great that they felt compelled to have a confrontation about the situation in the public on Jada’s Red Table Talk video series.
Jada largely admitted to August Alsina’s claims, infamously labeling the infidelity as an “entanglement” that took place during a previously agreed-upon separation. The duo vehemently denied the attestation that Alsina approached Will and obtained pre-approval, however.
The original poster listed actress Tasha Smith, which she herself refuted, naming her twin Sidra as the Smith sister in the footage. It should also be noted that Will and Jada tied the knot in 1997 and this clip was from 1996, so…take that as you will.
Will Smith once stated in an interview Rap Radar, “We don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as ‘life partners,’ where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do—ever—nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support ‘till death, and it feels so good to get to that space.”
Well, the Internet is gathering all of the receipts and it doesn’t appear the speculation will slow anytime soon.
