Singer K. Michelle has often complained about being pigeonholed musically, wanting to be considered more than an R&B singer due to her country roots. She’s been on a crusade for colorblind change in the country music industry, but a recent capture of K. Michelle’s new face (according to fans) has fans wondering if the singer has been hiding more than her vocals under all that autotune.
The singer seems to truly be genuine in her interactions online, but the world tends to run with anything these days, including her sharing that she missed working with her musical mentor R. Kelly recently.
K. Michelle worked with-then super producer R. Kelly on his 2010 album Love Letter, appearing on the song “Love Is.” In a 2019 interview with Nick Cannon, K. Michelle was roasted for remarks about Kelly’s criminal charges and how his tarnished legacy affected her.
“I know for me, yes, he is a controlling man, but he would control my music,” which people felt was insensitive to Kelly’s victims. Fast forward to 2020 and an earnest K. Michelle is still being called out for mentioning her past relationship with Kelly – this time, as a “mentor” to her.
“I swear if Rob was here so many of my musical questions would be answered,” she wrote on Twitter. “If you have a mentor u need to learn as much musically as possible, but I took so days of learning for granted never knowing this would happen to him.”
K. Michelle seems to be encouraging herself, possibly after dealing with issues related to her transition to country music, saying she “trusted him” her whole career but now “it’s time to trust” herself.
No one will ever understand how heavy it is watching the person who saved your life be crucified in front of the world for their sickness— K. Michelle (@kmichelle) December 9, 2020
She ended with “No one will ever understand how heavy it is watching the person who saved your life be crucified in front of the world for their sickness.”
While K. Michelle hasn’t copped to any sickness of her own other than the plastic surgery that became dangerous and had to be removed, now fans are wondering if she’s had work done or something else after appearing on Instagram live without makeup.
It’s not the first time that the pandemic has revealed the true nature of some celebrity’s natural looks. Recently, fans also noticed that one of their favorite rising rappers had made a point to show off their natural looks – Megan Thee Stallion. No one accused Megan of having a “new face,” like they have K. Michelle, however.
The “Do It On The Tip” rapper posted a series of Instagram posts, showing off her hair without any wigs, extensions and showing off a fresh, natural face. One post said, “Finally let my real hair breathe,” with the rapper showing off the healthy length.

K. Michelle didn’t get that same response however, as fans hopped on social media to get on the Trending train that was the K. Michelle topic. When one user posted, “All jokes aside. Who tf is this??,” people joined in at remarking how different the singer appeared to look.
