Kanye West Presidential Campaign Under Fire After Illegally Accepting Money From More Than 1200 Children, According To Reports

It is safe to say that Kanye West is not having the best year.  In 2020, West’s attempts to become the President resulted in a loss that is trickling into 2021.  The rapper could be facing legal trouble due to new information discovered by the FEC within Kanye West’s presidential campaign.

Reports state that the “All Of The Lights” rapper had a budget of $14.5 million delegated towards his presidential campaign.  Around $12.5 million came from Kanye West’s own pockets, while the remainder was from outside contributions.

Of these outside contributions, the trouble comes from Kanye West’s campaign’s acceptance of donations from minors. According to The Daily Beast, Kanye West’s presidential campaign received 3,161 donations, of which 1,200 were from minors. Contributions reportedly totaled around $349,160.

“In five-plus years of doing this I’ve never come across something like this,” said communications director for government watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Jordan Libowitz.  West is also facing trouble for possibly accepting donations from foreign nationals and may face investigation for unlawfully recruiting $100,000 in illegal fundraising practices.

One of Kanye’s donors included 16-year old Ian Bloom. Bloom told the publication that since placing an order on the presidential campaign’s website in late January, he has yet to receive the order.  “I don’t know what’s happening there,” he said. “I ordered like 20 hoodies off his campaign website, along with a lot of other people that I know. They said it would be three weeks, and after that I emailed the support team, and the email just wasn’t a thing.”

Bloom then shared a screenshot of the automated response he received from the Kanye West presidential campaign, which revealed that his address had been blocked.  He also explained that he speaks to many other resellers via Discord social media boards, and  “I can say with confidence that at least half of us in the group have to be still in high school,” he stated.

Recently it’s been reported that the rapper believes his failed presidential cost him his marriage to Kim Kardashian. A source explained to People, “He’s in that place of ‘if only.  If only I had done this, if only I hadn’t done that.’ He’s processing things.”

The same source added, “He thinks that the Presidential run was the straw that broke the camel’s back.  Before that, there was hope. After that, none. It cost him his marriage.”
