Karrueche Tran is reportedly back on the market after a three-year-long relationship with NFL player Victor Cruz. Talks of a potential marriage between the two may now seem to be over, as E! News is reporting via an exclusive source that the couple has chosen to go their separate ways.
The couple debuted back in December of 2017 after Tran’s highly-publicized break up with R&B superstar Chris Brown. Karrueche told Us Weekly in an interview that Cruz was “so sweet, like a really nice guy, he’s genuinely kind and it’s so refreshing to be with such a kind, great guy.” Trans also shared that his “bangin’” body also played a part, while continuing that her relationship with the former Giants star was like a breath of fresh air.
“It’s so refreshing and different for me to be around his good-hearted energy. We mesh so well, we laugh all the time and have such a great time together.”
Cruz also shared with E! News via an InstagramLive interview that during the pandemic they had been in touch numerous times per day. “We’re literally on the phone all the time,” Victor confessed. ”It’s given us a lot of time to talk, obviously, and to just dig deeper and just get to know each other more and just find new things out.”
He added, “Every day I’m like, ‘Well, tell me something you’ve probably never told me before. Now, we’re forced every day to have these conversations and some are deeper than others…I’m happy about this time in that regard.”
Cruz did admit to Page Six in January of this year that during the pandemic he suffered a bit of a mental breakdown. “Just mentally, you kind of go through these phases of, like, indecisiveness and … ‘What’s the future going to look like?’” he explained. “Thank God for my close friends, my circle, my people around me, because they kept me focused in times that seemed uncertain or when I needed somebody to talk to.”
Fans of the couple soon began to speculate that the couple was no longer together in recent months due to the lack of one another’s appearance on their respective Instagrams . Social media sleuths soon discovered their pages had been scrubbed of their appearances altogether.
According to E! News, pressures from living apart from one another on different coasts thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as hectic schedules attributed to the break-up. They do insist that the split seems to be amicable.
“Right now, they are focused on continuing to grow their successful careers,” the source revealed. “There are no hard feelings. This is just a case of two people moving forward in life separately.”
Although neither of the pair have made an official announcement, Karrueche came on Instagram with a recent photo that may prove she’s single. Quenching the thirsts of many, she posted two photos and captioned them “Little Booty Chronicles”. Check out the photo below.
