Kenya Moore, actress, author, supermodel and former Miss USA has become a household name, as she’s been a centerpiece of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta for several seasons now.
She discussed her career, her 2 year-old daughter, Brooklyn, and more on a socially-distant interview with Wendy Williams. During the interview, Williams asked Moore about her daughter’s taste in music, questioning if she enjoys twerk music. “Now in this day and age, of music, you would think that she would like twerk music like a lot of parents put on their kids,” Wendy asked. Moore declared, “Nah. H*ll nah. You will not see my daughter twerking or on a pole. Okay? That is my job and my husband’s job to keep her off the pole.”
Williams seized that opportunity to key-in on Moore’s marriage to restaurateur, Marc Daly. Williams flatly asked, “When was the last time you had sex with him?” After an extended bout of reactive laughter, Moore replied, “We are constantly evolving. We were headed down the road to divorce, and you’ll have to watch the show to see where we end up. But with Marc, I’ll always have love for him because he gave me the most beautiful gift that anyone could have given me in my life, and that’s Brooklyn.”
Kenya continued, saying that she was ready to move on “and now he’s trying to fight for us to be back together and he wants his family back” after citing a weight gain of 30 pounds as the reason she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
Moore also gave a little tease for the upcoming Season 13 of RHOA, “Let’s just say they brought the WAP to this season.”
Kenya Moore also revealed that she had one date with the mercurial rapper-producer-fashion mogul, Kanye West. Later in the interview on the Hot Seat segment, she said that some undefined time ago, that, “Well, I did go out with Kanye once,” an event she called a “disaster.”
As she retells it, “Somehow, we ended up going to his house and there was, like, some very explicit things on TV and Iwas lost…he left me alone, I was just there for like five minutes, wandering around his house.”
Continuing, “When I followed the noises, he was watching something on TV that he probably shouldn’t have been. So, that was my exit! As much as I love him, it was just the craziest thing.”
As some have noted, West has been vocal in the past about his struggles with adult films. “Playboy was my gateway into full on pornography addiction. My dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life,” West said.
He continued, “From age five til now, having to kick the habit and it just presents itself in the open like it’s ok and I stand up and say, ‘No, it’s not ok,’ he said talking about resisting the urge. My mom had passed a year before and I said some people drown themselves in drugs. And I drowned myself in my addiction.”
