Khloe Kardashian and her family and team are scrambling to remove a photograph that made it to the Internet seemingly without their approval. A picture of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star circulated on the web that shows her in her more natural state, and she’s not having it.
The Kardashians have been known to sell many things and ideas to their adoring fans around the world. One of the concepts the Kardashian family chooses to continually sell to their followers, although intangible and not a product, is confidence. Yet, through the perfection they try to shove down the world’s throats may be hefty attempts to hide their own insecurities.
Case in point this weekend’s “photogate”. The picture in question shows Khloe standing by a pool in a leopard print bikini. Her full face and body are seen and she doesn’t appear to have any make-up on. The photo quickly went viral as Team Khloe went into overdrive in the attempt to erase it from people’s minds… and accounts.

Social media accounts that took part in the spread of the photo were reportedly contacted immediately by a member of the Kardashian team with threats of legal action if they did not remove the photo. They were issued claims of “copyright infringement” for the post.
Page Six reported a statement that was issued by Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands. “The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” the statement read. “Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”
Another source tells the publication that the picture was taken in the middle of a conversation and “features some edits.”
Fans were quick to call out the KUWTK star for how different she looked in comparison to other photos that meet the Kardashian standard. She also received backlash for the actions they took to have the picture removed.

“[Khloe Kardashian] spending her easter trying to erase unedited pics of herself from the internet… she’s so pathetic,” tweeted one user.
Another Twitter user begged that for 2021, Khloe and the Kardashians would finally be held accountable. “Khloe Kardashian please know that taking legal actions, harassing someone on literal EASTER is not okay, you have to apologize publicly right now! retweet this and let’s start make #khloekardashianisoverparty trending.”
Despite the criticism, Khloe is choosing to ignore the backlash, literally. Taking to her Instagram Stories over the weekend, the reality star shared a post that read, “Start ignoring people who threaten your joy. Literally ignore them. Say nothing. Don’t invite any parts of them into your space.”
This is very sad. Just sad. Taking legal action against everyone reposting an unfiltered pic is really next level even for Khloe https://t.co/rylT35jHX8
