Turns out things spiraled out of control, with reports of the 16-year-old Bronny James catching attention for liking the picture of his friend’s mother Larsa Pippen. What may have been harmless initially spiraled into LeBron James himself even cursing on his IG Stories.
Social media is getting everyone in trouble as the pandemic wears on and people are unable to do much outside of their homes. That’s why fans had whiplash when Bronny James liked a picture of Scotty Pippen, Jr.’s mother, Larsa Pippen. While it may have been innocent, the appearance was enough to get tongues wagging during a holiday period.
LeBron and Savannah James should go easy, as the Pope himself just had a similar thing happen to him on Instagram – with much wider repercussions than being the son of an NBA star. The Pope’s Instagram account has been caught, twice, liking inappropriate pictures not in good taste for the Papacy.
The second time happened recently, and it was the Pope’s account liking a picture of adult entertainer Margot Foxx – who caught the like and spilled the beans to her social media channels.
Margot Foxx tweeted a picture of a screenshot from her Instagram account, with the caption “uhhh the pope liked my picture?”
The first time happened back in November, when the Pope’s official account “liked” a racy image of Brazilian model Natalia Garibotto.
Of course, the Vatican promised to investigate and has been in contact with Instagram about how such an oversight could have happened and claim they will get to the bottom of it all.
With this latest rumor however, it’s grown larger than just a like from Bronny – with the rumors growing and incorrectly saying that the 16-year-old slid into the much older woman’s direct messages, or “DM’s.” Apparently, that struck a chord that his mother Savannah didn’t like, and she jumped into the fray with her thoughts.
It’s not the first time either that one of LeBron’s parents have come to his defense on the Internet, or at least showed their presence to remind people that they’re always keeping watch on their children.
Bronny was playing NBA 2K20, which probably comes as little surprise to anyone.
One Twitch streamer was greeted with a surprise – getting to chat with LeBron. Streamer Adin Ross was playing a friendly game with Bronny when Lebron himself got on the mic. Lebron said, “what’s good bruh.” The shocked gamer Ross asked if it was LeBron talking. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar couldn’t help but laugh.
There’s no laughing now, however. Mother Savannah took to her own Instagram Stories to issue a scathing rebuke at how her minor child has been dragged into the Internet gossip mill.

“With everything going on in the world right now, this is the s**t y’all talking about,” Savannah wrote. “At the end of the day y’all are talking about a minor. I don’t care what type of ‘celebrity’ y’all think he is, he’s a child and the bulls**t needs to stop. Y’all got the right one.”
James reposted his wife’s response in his own Instagram Stories, writing: “Y’all f**ked with the wrong one now! Good luck. It won’t be cute!”
