Lil Uzi Vert Claims Putting $24 Million Diamond On A Ring Would Be ‘The Stupidest Idea’

Lil Uzi Vert and his diamond implant has been a topic of conversation for a few weeks now. The “XO Tour Llif3” hitmaker recently explained his choice to get the pink stone installed in his head MCU Vision style, and why any other option would have been “stupid”.

The rapper, born Symere Bysil Woods, underwent surgery to get the $24 million diamond placed in his head last month. The 26 year old had been saving up to purchase the stone for some time now.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Uzi’s jeweler Simon Babaev of jeweler Eliantte & Co talked about how they came to the decision to purchase the diamond and ultimately get it inserted in his head. “We didn’t think he was serious about it, but as he started making payments on the specific stone, he made it clear that he was very serious.” Babaev also wanted people to know that the piece and procedure were done in a safe matter, “We made sure that prior to getting anything done that Uzi brought someone in to consult on everything. We didn’t just do this randomly.”

Speaking with Fat Joe recently, Uzi told him that initially he was considering putting the piece in the side of his face like a dermal piercing instead of his forehead.

“They said a dermal not gonna work because just of the size of the stone and just from, you know, all the extra weight we got to put on the back on it, it’s not go work right there.”

When asked by Fat Joe “why the forehead”, he had this to say.

“Imma be real, so I’m picking up the diamond, we were going to put it in a ring. But Imma be honest, I’m Lil Uzi, I’m turnt up so 24 million on a ring is the stupidest idea because Imma look down and that ring ain’t gon’ be there.”

He continued, “I had a piercing [in my forehead] a while ago and I said ‘You know what, I wanna put it right here. They like ‘You wanna put it right there?’ Bruh, don’t think it was just a ‘Come on let’s go get his money, let’s take it.’ No bruh, they argued me down. It’s almost insane to the average person, or to any person. But I’m Lil Uzi Vert, like…what can I say?”
