Lil Wayne is a married man this week. The Hip-Hop legend appears to have finally tied the knot with long time girlfriend and plus size model Denise Bidot. The news might be a surprise to some as it was rumored the pair has split late last year. Congrats are in order for the happy couple.
Born Dwayne Cater, Lil Wayne has been famous now longer than he has not been and has seen a good portion of his love life play out in the media. Wayne wed his first love Toya Johnson back in 2004 when the couple were both very young. They share his eldest child together, Reginae Carter. Following that relationship he was linked to singer Nivea and actress Lauren London, both of whom shared children with the Cash Money/Young Money MC.
His relationship with now wife Bidot has been public for about a year now. The couple first went public with their relationship in June 2020 after Bidot shared a series of photos to her Instagram Stories cozying up to Weezy.
“Somehow in the middle of the madness, something special happened,” she wrote. “Us.”
It seemed like things had fallen apart however in November. Wayne famously endorsed former president Donald Trump for re-election after he helped the rapper get pardoned. In a twitter post featuring a picture of him and Trump, Wayne said “Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”
According to some sources, “[Denise] was shocked when she saw Wayne come out with Trump. She’s so disappointed in him. She broke up with Wayne. It wasn’t just his Trump support, but that was a big part.” She also tweeted “Pretty disappointing when you defend someone throughout everything and they turn out being just as shitty as everyone said they were.”
Another outlet captured the proof, as it seems Bidot and Wayne had unfollowed each other. Bidot has also deleted her whole Instagram account at the time.
Well today, it appears all has worked out for the two. Wayne tweeted “Happiest man alive!”. He continued, “Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!! The Carters.”
