Larsa Pippen seems to find her name in the mix quiet a lot. The former wife of NBA legend Scottie Pippen has taken her platform to become a popular socialite. She’s also used it to keep her dating life alive and well. She’s had many high profile relationships, including Future, Tristian Thompson, Eric Moreland and Malik Beasley. Her relationship with Beasley has been subject to a lot of criticism as she caught from heat from social media and his estranged wife Montana Yao.
Pippen’s longest and most notable relationship began in the 1990s when she started dating NBA legend Scottie Pippen. After the two married in 1997, they went on to welcome four children together: Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin and Sophia. Scottie also has three other children from previous relationships.
The two officially called it quits in 2018 citing “irreconcilable differences.” Since then Larsa has kept busy with a handful of different high profile relationships. Most famously she was linked to rapper Future, who many believe she dated while still married to Scottie. While speaking with Hollywood Unlocked earlier this year she dismissed the seriousness of the relationship, saying Future was delusional after he name dropped her in a song.
Speak on him and the song he mentioned her in she said “That was stupid of him because it was not that, like he was delusional, it was not that,” she responded. “It was never that, it was like I was really sad, I was in a point in my life where I was really sad and I was dealing with like, ‘Do I move on? Do I not? Are my kids gonna be ok?’ And it was like a lot of guilt I felt and he was the guy that was there to see me go through it and he was the guy I would talk to when I was dealing with things. He gave me confidence when I was in a dark place. He served a purpose. Did I want to spend the rest of my life with him? Don’t think so, but he served a purpose.”
Since then she’s moved on, mostly recently with Malik Beasley. The pair were spotted holding hands in the mall, which promoted Beasley’s wife to release a statement and file for divorce. Beasley himself also took to social media to release a statement, apologizing to his wife and the mother of his kids Montana Yao. “I wana say sorry for putting you in the situation you were put in the last few months.. my head wasn’t were it was supposed to be.. I was looking for more when it was right here that whole time.”
He continued, “For the record I was the one who ended my last relationship off the fact that there is no one like you. Also for the record i wanted to do my own ish cuz I just left u guys and I def ain’t the type to set up pictures at the mall n ish .. as that’s some childish ish and I’m trying to grow individually and grow a family .. a real family.”
Yao acknowledged his apology, but did not allude if they’d be getting back together. She did mention she wants to focus on being a parent to their son, Mikai. “Makai and I do appreciate Malik’s apology. It’s hard to own up to bad decisions and apologize especially publicly so it is really appreciated.”
Today she made sure to let Larsa know how she feels about her as well. “You really need to be put in check or something cause you really wildin out here thinking you about to tell either Malik or I how to act.” She also called Larsa an “old desperate thirsty ass ran thru blow up doll,” and alleged that Larsa called the paparazzi on herself for clout. She accused Larsa of trying to “trap Malik” by trying to get him to go to fertility clinics so they could get pregnant.
