Master P Questions Kim Kardashian and Monica’s Reason For Attempting To Free Brother, Corey Miller, Hopes Everyone Involved Is Doing It For The Right Reason

With the news breaking that Kim Kardashian is going to use her outsized celebrity to try and help get rapper Corey Miller released, his brother and label head Master P has spoken up about her efforts. With the case seemingly stalled using his own millions, Master P seems cautious but hopeful that Kim can get further than he did.

Kim Kardashian, who has decided to become a lawyer in order to further her goals of prison reform, has been successful in achieving some change in the system on her own. In 2019, Kim was influential in lobbying President Trump and achieving the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who had served 21 years of a life sentence.

It’s these interactions in the area of prison reform that drove Kardashian West to pursue a career in law, following in her famous father’s footsteps. Robert Kardashian rose to prominence during the 90’s following his involvement in the OJ Simpson trial.

With the airing of BET’s, No Limit: Chronicles, it seems as if the case of Master P’s brother C-Murder is being revisited – with help from Kardashian and a slew of other celebrities and important people. Back in 2009, Corey Miller was convicted of fatally shooting a fan. Though he’s maintained his innocence since then, it seems as if new details have emerged and with Kardashian West’s help, C-Murder might finally see some of his own justice.

In a series of tweets, Kim laid out why she’d taken up the cause of Miller’s case. In addition to new evidence, it seems as if Corey Millerwas convicted by a jury 10-2 – which is no longer legal. West has also recruited R&B singer Monica, who was dating the rapper at the time of his conviction.

“Corey deserves to come home to his girls and be the father they need, be the artist & leader he’s always been as well as spread hope to those who have also experienced this,” Monica wrote on her Instagram post about the cause that they have taken up.

Master P, in addition to C-Murder himself, have now released statements in support of Kim Kardashian, Monica and whoever else that wants to help right this miscarriage of justice. For his part, Master P says that he’s already spent millions of his own money and while he’s hopeful, he’s overly cautious still.

“My whole thing is getting my brother home. Whatever anybody do that’s gonna spark that plug, I appreciate it,” said P in a video released on the renewed attention to his brother’s case. “But, like I said, Louisiana is not the same like all the rest of these places.”

“I hope it’s all for the right reasons with all these people,” he continued. “Louisiana is serious. We done spent millions of dollars throughout all these years and, you know, this place has a lot of corruption. Hopefully, Kim K and her celebrity status– but, this is not going to be easy.”

Corey Miller took to his own Instagram to also show his appreciate and share the hope that the renewed attention has brought to his case. It seems as if he’s never given up in hoping that he could change the outcomes of his trial.
