The Internet has been partially satiated by Megan Thee Stallion’s recent admission of truth to what occurred on the traumatic July 12 night. Many have come forward in support of Megan. However, there is another side of individuals who would like to label her a “snitch.”
As we recently reported, the Savage/WAP superstar logged on to her Instagram to confess her side of the story and held nothing back, admitting that the triggerman was indeed Tory Lanez. This happened hours after the rapper sent a cryptic tweet out, stating “lie one more time and ima quit sparing you,” which many speculated was directed towards Lanez. For weeks, Megan was mum when it came to the details leading up to the shooting and the actual event.
Initially, reports stated that Megan’s injuries were due to the rapper cutting her feet on glass. She revealed she initially fabricated the story due to fearing for her life and safety.
When it came to Megan not exposing the person’s identity, she states she did her best not to implicate Tory, as to protect him. However, she did not feel protected in the same manner. “If you really wanna tell the [MF] truth,” she says, “I tried to save [him], even though he shot me. I tried to spare him. And ya’ll [MF]’s is not sparing me. That’s crazy. That’s f—ed up. He not in jail because I didn’t tell the laws what happened as soon as it happened, and I should have. I’m smart. I didn’t have to spare [him]. I don’t have to spare nobody, but I did.”
Waves of support came in Megan’s direction. Reports of artists Kehlani and Jojo removing features from Lanez off their respective albums were unleashed. However, there’s the other side of critics who have decided to give Megan the snitch label, even comparing her to controversial rapper 6ix9ine. He posted a video on his Instagram with her song playing in the background, captioning it “Megan my new favorite rapper” in what looks like his latest trolling episode.
Wack 100 has stepped in to weigh in and give further clarification on what it means to be a “snitch”, in attempts to absolve Megan from being labeled as such. Taking to his Instagram page, he writes, “@theestallion is a civilian. She can’t be classified as a snitch, civilians tell the truth.” He then captions the video saying that he’s raised his daughters in the same manner. Fans have also begun to stand in solidarity with the rapper amidst the criticism by continuing the ongoing conversations to support and protect black women.
