After a harrowing summer, it seems as if the fall will bring blessings to rapper Megan Thee Stallion. While the status of her potential legal case hovers, she’s not letting internet rumor and gossip stop her from continuing her astounding run – nor keep her from showing off her recovery.
“I was sh*t in both of my feet,” Megan previously said. “And I had to get surgery to get the bullets taken out and it was super scary. Where the bullets hit at, they missed everything,” she also stated, thanking her ancestors for making it out largely unscathed.
In an effort to quell the trolls and outlets that were questioning her reported injuries, Megan took to Instagram to post a picture of her injuries along with medical professionals seemingly treating her. She also released a lengthy caption, before deleting the whole post.
“Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the sh** YALL make up,” Megan wrote in her caption. “I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got sh-t I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot? Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad ? Why y’all upset that I can walk ? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bullsh** but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well!”
That was a bit ago in the world, now that even since then, Megan’s reached even higher heights.
“Cardi B’s ‘WAP,’ featuring Megan Thee Stallion, ruled the initial Billboard Global 200 chart. The song lead with 100.9 million global streams and 23,000 global downloads sold in the week ending Sept. 10,” according to Billboard. “WAP” was also the most-streamed song of the week globally, beating BTS’ “Dynamite.” The new chart ranks songs based on streaming and sales activity from more than 200 territories around the world.
Prior to boarding a private jet recently, Megan stopped and danced for the cameras in a bodysuit, with the shaking threatening to take over the fabric as it tries to contain everything being thrown at it. It seemed as if her injuries are starting to heal enough to support the weight of twerking, if nothing else, while her now platinum song “Captain Hook” played in the background.
Now, it seems as if she’s clinched another prime fashion sponsorship, and this time, it’s on a much larger scale than any Fashion Nova sponsored workout gear. It turns out Thee Stallion is now a part of the Coach family. Revealing new pictures that also seem to show a healthy recovery from her foot injuries, Megan’s apart of the #CoachForever Spring 2021 campaign.
She appears in official photos wearing a Coach coat crafted from organic cotton and recycled materials, sporting a 1968-inspired, limited-edition Coach bag.
Truly, the bounce back has been enormous. See the photos below.
