Megan Thee Stallion should be celebrating her record-breaking number one single “WAP” with Cardi B. However, the rapper is once again fighting off naysayers who are accusing her of faking injuries.
Megan Thee Stallion seems determined to not let her situation with Tory Lanez and very real injuries get her down. After returning back to the Internet triumphantly after her ordeal, she’s been on a roll ever since. Underneath it all, she is still healing and has shared some insights from all that’s transpired. She recently shared about how she found herself feeling betrayed by her friends after all that had transpired.
“I just feel very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared,” said Megan. “The one thing that y’all need to know about me is I’m not a person who is able to be down for a long time. I’m not a person who is…I don’t like to be victimized… I like to be upbeat.”
Being upbeat while recovering from an injury is no easy feat, but Megan chalks up the ability to her grandmother’s advice – which she shared with her followers as well. “My grandma always told me don’t let nobody steal your joy, so that’s the type of person I am. I’m never gon’ let nobody steal my joy.”
Despite the need for positive energy, that’s exactly what the Internet has been trying to do to Megan around this situation – steal her joy.
Recently, Megan was spotted celebrating the success of “WAP” with fellow rapper Asian Doll, who’d similarly just been through a car accident herself apparently. The pair clearly had a lot to celebrate in their lives and took to the strip club to do just that. Despite Megan’s feet appearing bandaged while there, people started to question the extent of her previously reported injuries.
In an effort to quell the trolls and outlets that were questioning her reported injuries, Megan took to Instagram to post a picture of her injuries along with medical professionals seemingly treating her. She also released a lengthy caption, before deleting the whole post.
“Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the sh** YALL make up,” Megan wrote in her caption. “I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie […]Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad ? Why y’all upset that I can walk ? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet [BS] but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well!”
