Music mogul Dr. Dre was hospitalized this week after suffering a brain aneurysm, according to sources. TMZ has reported the producer was admitted on Monday to the Intensive Care Unit at Cedar Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently “stable and lucid.” However, doctors are unsure of what caused the bleeding and are continuing to complete more testing.
As we’ve reported, throughout the last six months, Dr. Dre has been in a nasty divorce battle with his estranged wife, Nicole Young, of 24 years. At one point, Young requested $2 million a month in temporary spousal support and $5 million for attorney fees. Dr. Dre’s wife has also attempted to subpoena statements from three of the producer’s mistresses.
According to TMZ, Dre recently filed a police report claiming his wife embezzled $385,029 from one of his companies. Young eventually plead the fifth to the accusations.
