Nick Cannon has been getting a lot of attention for his extended family and the way he chooses to live his life. The successful comedian is gearing up to welcome his 7th child, and has been very vocal over the years about his stances on monogamy and abortion. A recently resurfaced interview with T.I has helped shed some light on Cannon and the way he lives his life. In it he explains is struggles with marriage and why he feels like it is not something that would be possible for him.
Nick Cannon has two kids with singer Mariah Carey, twins Moroccan Cannon and Monroe Cannon. He then welcomed two more children with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell named Golden “Sagon” Cannon and Powerful Queen Cannon. Shortly after, Abby De La Rosa confirmed she too was pregnant by Cannon and gave birth to twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir. Alyssa Scott is the most recent woman to come forward and confirm that she’s gotten knocked up by Cannon with what will be his 7th child.
Cannon’s health issues have been a constant topic over the years. He has lupus and has had a very public battle with it. In a Howard Stern interview he talked about how this has given him some freedoms with how he lives his life, because he fears it could end any day. “When you experience near-death situations – life-threatening situations – it’s honest, it’s real. I feel like ‘Yo, I’m running out of time.’ Every time I think I’m doing good, then I got to go back to the hospital. Almost died this time [due to] the blood clots.” He continued “I don’t fear it, I welcome it! I got to a space now where [I can say] I’m probably gonna die sooner than most people. I mean, that’s what the doctor said. But I’m living life like ‘F—, I might die in the morning, so let’s f– all night! So why wear condoms? I might not be here tomorrow!’”
His dad has also come forward to talk about their beliefs and how being anti-abortion is a big thing for their family. James Cannon said in a recent interview “I believe children are blessings. And I teach my son, ‘Make as much money as you can, and have as many children as you can.’ I would fight for family. I’m pro-life. I wrote a book called ‘Stop Hating: Can I Live?’, which is Nick’s story.”
While speaking with T.I in 2019 on his podcast ExpediTIously, Cannon talked about marriage and why he felt he was not meant to be with one woman. Obviously this foreshadowed the large and growing family he now has. “The reason why we split up, it had nothing to do with infidelity or anything like that,” said Cannon about his ex-wife. “But I knew I would never get married again once I stepped away from that. That construct is not designed for me. I gave it my all because, even before that, I didn’t believe in marriage but s**t, it was Mariah Carey. Whatever she say, I’m with it! If I’ma marry somebody, I’ma marry her.” See more below.
