Nick Cannon has reason to celebrate, the television host and comedian just extended his family. The famous Nickelodeon alumni is expecting his 7th child with multiple woman current pregnant by the Wild N Out front man. Cannon has been the subject of many people examining his love life and wondering the motive behind getting so many women knocked out. In a resurfaced interview reveals that it may have less to do with wanting a big family and more to do with him trying to enjoy life.
In the past cannon has talked about how he has no interest in being monogamous. Speaking with T.I on his podcast Cannon disclosed“I think I’ll never be able to be with just one woman again,” the “Gigolo” rapper said. “I did it in marriage. I was very faithful in my marriage…Once I stepped away from that, I [realized] that construct is not designed for me.” He further expressed that men and monogamy don’t mix, because “it isn’t in their DNA.” In a separate conversation with Evelyn Lozado he also said “It’s that hunting mentality, but it’s also like ‘yo if we suppose to be fruitful and multiply. [There are] not many creatures on earth that are monogamous.”
In a sit down with Wendy Williams Cannon shared a slightly more vulnerable answer, disclosing that he felt his marriage has “damaged” him. “I said I’m working on myself so therefore I don’t wanna disappoint anybody and I don’t wanna be responsible for anyone else’s happiness,” he shared. “Especially, I’m a work in progress so I feel like I tried marriage and I feel like now I’m kinda like damaged goods so I’m just trying to figure it out.”
Cannon has two kids with Mariah Carey, twins Moroccan and Monroe. He then welcomed two more children with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell named Golden “Sagon” Cannon and Powerful Queen Cannon. Shortly after, Abby De La Rosa confirmed she two was pregnant by Cannon and gave birth to twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir. In a resurfaced interview with Howard Stern, Cannon talked about how his health issues have changed his perspective on life and has a lot to do with why he might have so many kids. “When you experience near-death situations – life-threatening situations – it’s honest, it’s real. I feel like ‘Yo, I’m running out of time.’ Every time I think I’m doing good, then I got to go back to the hospital. Almost died this time [due to] the blood clots.” He continued “I don’t fear it, I welcome it! I got to a space now where [I can say] I’m probably gonna die sooner than most people. I mean, that’s what the doctor said. But I’m living life like ‘F—, I might die in the morning, so let’s f– all night! So why wear condoms? I might not be here tomorrow!’”
