Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Asks Judge To Allow Him At Birth Of Their Child, His Current Curfew Could Cause Him To Miss Baby’s Birth

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has dealt with a string of legal issues since he married his childhood friend. Though the two haven’t been married long, they’ve had their fair share of issues due to his previous legal issues. Those same issues are once again in the press, as the couple prepare for the arrival of their first child together.

It all stems from an arrest in Los Angeles by federal U.S. Marshalls. Initially picked up in a traffic stop in Beverly Hills on March 4^th, the new husband of the “Starships” rapper has registered as a s-x offender in California’s Megan’s Law database. His initial arrest came after he didn’t register in Los Angeles since moving here in 2019, despite him being registered as required in New York.

Now, Petty’s trying to make right on his mistakes and request a change in his pre-trial release terms so that he can be close to his wife on the chance she gives birth – while also indicating some new information that may have been unknown to fans and the industry at this point.

Since the terms of his pretrial release conditions indicate that he cannot leave the State, Petty filed documents with the judge, according to TMZ, asking him to modify the terms to allow him to travel periodically and outside of curfew hours with Nicki – as her manager. Petty also asked so he could be closer to the baby on the offchance she goes into labor while outside of California, a very real possibility since his wife can still travel for work or otherwise, pandemic conditions still remaining.

According to Petty’s paperwork, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and pretrial services office don’t oppose his request. While this won’t be his first child, as it’s been previously reported that he has 5 other children, it will be Minaj’s first and his first with her. Hopefully the judge will allow him to be near his wife’s side when she goes into labor, wherever that might be.
