‘Now She Gotta Get A 9-5’: B. Simone Told She’ll Have To Get A Regular Job After ‘Wild N Out’ Is Canceled, Following Nick Canon’s Removal From Viacom

Wild ‘N Out cast member B. Simone can’t catch a break. After catching some heavy flack for comments she made with her boss Nick Cannon, B. Simone is getting dragged into the host’s controversy, unfortunately. The comedian/singer/influencer has been on the successful improv comedy show for a number of seasons and her hot take on the type of man she wants haven’t died down yet.

The comedienne from Dallas’s brand of comedy has also given her success outside of the hit TV show she’s a cast member of. She’s also appeared on reality shows like Girl’s Cruise on VH1, which was anchored by hip-hop legend Lil’ Kim. The show also featured TLC’s Chili, singer Mya and her fellow cast member Pretty Vee.

During a livestream from home a few weeks ago that Cannon had with Simone during the quarantine, Cannon pressed B. Simone about what she wants in her man. Simone stated, “He can’t have a 9-5.” She continued, “he can be a hustling entrepreneur,” before confirming with Cannon that she wants someone who is “CEO status.”

“I think entrepreneurs should date entrepreneurs,” before claiming that anyone else would not understand her lifestyle. Cannon, for his part, laughed heartily when he assumed that she didn’t want a man who made an “honest living.”

Cannon’s was swiftly released from his relationship with ViacomCBS on Tuesday night (July 14th) after it emerged that the performer had said on his Cannon’s Class podcast that Black people are the “true Hebrews” in addition to discussing other theories.

Though B. Simone had nothing to do with that, many have now wondered what the fate of his successful Wild ‘N Out will be – on which B. Simone is employed. With Cannon’s CEO status in question, it wasn’t long before Simone’s comments resurfaced and people wondered online how she’d be affected by the show’s unknown future. It became a free for all with jokes as it seems she’ll now have to also get a “9-5” herself.

Twitter was swift with the humor and condemnation, and it comes on the heels of other recent B. Simone controversies. The comedienne also came under fire for plagiarism of a book that she was selling when original creators started to highlight how Simone and her team had taken pieces of their work and created something without giving them credit – to benefit Simone’s brand.

B. Simone continued to post videos and content until she eventually had to retract and make a statement apologizing for her “team’s” mistakes. Since then, she’s gone a bit silent on all the outrage, regardless of people continuing to weigh in on it all.

Twitter users wasted no time however in re-igniting their beefs with the comedienne, as her words continue to come back and haunt her.
