Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview continues to send shock waves. Everyone from the Royal Family to Meghan Markle’s sister and father to Tyler Perry have responded to it. Meghan Markle’s sister Samantha Markle is the latest to chime in.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been candid about their experience since stepping away from Buckingham Palace. The pair fled to Canada last year just as quarantine started. From there they moved to Malibu with help with Tyler Perry, after realizing their security had been taken away and their home’s address had been disclosed.
Speaking with Oprah they couple explained why they chose to step away in the first place. Meghan complained of not having enough support from the family, particularly during some trying times that tested her mental health.
To make matters worst, once the family found about about her pregnancy, there were concerns about how dark the baby would be. Meghan is biracial and half black, and the family expressed fears that her baby might favor the black side of her family.

In a statement in response to the interview, Buckingham Palace said “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” They continued “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
Prince William was quizzed by a reporter this past Thursday while visiting a school with his wife Kate Middleton.
“We are very much not a racist family,” William told the reporter, adding that “I haven’t spoken to [Harry] yet, but I will.”
Meghan Markle’s sister Samantha also weighed in on the interview and its potential aftermath.
Speaking with TMZ, her sister expressed concerns for the couple and their future. She accused Meg of being a liar and stated that Harry must be tired of it by now.
“I see [the marriage] ending in divorce unless they get extensive counseling and can agree to work on being honest, to work on apologies, to work on everyone that they’ve damaged in the course of this bull-in-a-china-shop two-year spiel,” Meghan Markle’s sister told TMZ.“I mean, nothing about any of this has been honest, and the damage to the royals has been massive.”
On Harry’ possibly thinking about ending things, she said “Maybe he’s already questioning it. He has to be if he has a functioning frontal lobe. He’s not 12,” she said. “He’s got to have a sense of, ‘Oh, my God, everything you’ve said to me has been a lie.”
