Vivica A. Fox may not have anything bad to say about “love of her life” 50 Cent, but she is making it clear she does not want that old thing back. The actress has been very candid over the years about her love for the “Power” star, referring to him several times as the one that got away. In a recently Vlad interview she doubled down on this yet again, and unfortunately it caught the attention of his new boo Cuban Link, who was not too pleased.
The pair famously dated in 2003, even walking the rep carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards that year. The two initially connected after 50 flirted with Fox while accepting an award at the Soul Train Awards. “We met after he said the thing at the Soul Train Music Awards. ‘And I want to thank Vivica Fox for wearing that dress,’” Fox said about their first interaction. “I was shocked. I was just kinda like, wow. And then after that, his people got in touch with my people and next thing I know, we were on the phone and my birthday was coming up and he’s such a gentleman. He’s very generous. I know him as Curtis, always will, and the 50 Cent, those are his performing things and who he is as a man. So, I met Curtis.”
While things eventually ended, the two have traded jabs over the years. Back in 2005 she spoke with Tyra Banks during her talk show days. At the time, 50 had been telling people he felt like Vivica had used him as a publicity stunt or as a way to boost her career. “No, it wasn’t the press…it was him!” she told Banks in reference to the allegations. Of his accusations, “I just considered that ghetto love,” she said. “It was his way of dealing with the break-up.” Still she admitted to Banks that the rapper was “the love of my life.”
In her 2018 book Every Day, I’m Hustling, Fox called their sex life “PG-13”. According to PEOPLE, she wrote how “cherished and special” their intimate moments were. She then added “Most of the time, I would be the one initiating sex, because I really enjoyed making love with him.”
50 Cent was not too happy when the story went public, posted to his social media back then “I’m waking up to this sh*t, that was 14 years ago. smh who does this? What the f*ck!”
Well after talking yet again about her feelings for 50 in a Vlad interview, she caught the attention of his now girlfriend CubanLink. Under a post from the Shaderoom showing a snippet of the interview, Cuban comments “aww” followed by a violin emoji.
Not one to be outdown, Viviva A. Fox took to her story to let Cuban know she had nothing to worry about, saying “dont get nervous! Im good!” Fox let Cuban know that the full interview actually featured a moment where she compliments 50’s new woman and acknowledged that they’ve both moved on.
Cuban Link then followed up with a series of tweets of her own.
