Boosie Badazz is both entertaining and controversial, as his presence on social media has proven time and time again. With the rapper’s place on Instagram being on and off (lately, mostly off), fans have been entertained by (or reminded of) some of his old content as more and more resurfaced interviews have been popping up. One of them being his views on “excessive gay content” on television.
Ever immodest in sharing his opinions and true to his stage name, Boosie Badazz has said some pretty off-the-wall things. Some that he probably could have (and should have) kept to himself. Case in point, Instagram posts (that has since been deleted) in which he lambasted programming such as Love And Hip Hop as well as Disney cartoons that incorporated gay scenes.
Before they were deleted, VladTV captured them and questioned him about his statements. “They tryna make everybody f*****g gay,” responded Boosie. “They putting it on our culture. They’re putting it everywhere. Gay stuff is everywhere. I think that they’re just trying to do it to make a monetary gain. They’re not doing it for the gays. They’re not really fans of the gays. They’re doing it for monetary gain, man. They try to make money off these people, man.”
He then shifts to children’s programming, which he feels is now no longer sacred. “You got cartoons that have gays. On cartoons,” he continued. “ These are kids. Let kids make their own decision if they wanna go that way. Six and seven year old, five year old shouldn’t be turned onto gay cartoon when their mind not even developed yet. What if they like how that cartoon talk? Now, you’re forcing them to be gay. Every TV show is gays. They’re kissing each other. It’s out of hand.”
Boosie added: “I got backlash from that from the gays, but you know, I speak my mind. Everywhere you go, they’re forcing this gay stuff on… it wasn’t like that when I was coming up. The Ninja Turtles wasn’t kissing. You know what I’m saying? It wasn’t like that. The Flintstones wasn’t—they didn’t have two men on ‘The Flintstones’ kissing, you know. The Jetsons wasn’t kissing. Everywhere you go they trying to do that, and they doing it for monetary gain. They not doing it cause they love the gays.”
Guess Boosie is thinking about the kids now? Except there was also that time he came under fire for excitedly confessing that he had paid women to perform oral sex on his minor children and nephews in the past, as well as watch pornography.
