Rapper Cardi B Files For Divorce From Husband Offset, Demands Child Support and Full Custody Of Two-Year-Old Daughter, Kulture

Seems like the fairytale romance between rap Cinderella Cardi B and hitmaker of Migos’ fame, Offset. Despite the pair’s previously reconciled relationship and seeming good times, Cardi seems to have had enough of the “Bad and Boujee” rapper.

It was all good not too long ago as the pair celebrated Cardi’s 27th birthday together, with the Migos rapper. Offset gifted her a HUGE rock that complemented the previous ones that he’s also given her, of course.

In a “small” gathering with friends and family, Cardi received her gifts and adulation on her day of birth in stride. When husband Offset pulled out what he called the “Titanic Diamond” in his Instagram caption, he outdid himself. Cardi B was actually speechless for a few seconds as she took in the grandiose gift.

“Thank you sooo much babe @offsetyrn,” she said in her caption on IG. “I’m so happy ❤️ Soo grateful.”

“TITANIC DIAMOND 💍 💎 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY QUEEN U DESERVE EVERYTHING THAT COME YOUR WAY I LOVE YOU AND OUR FAMILY TOGETHER ♥️,” the husband lovingly wrote on his Instagram.

Though they’ve only been married for three years, they’ve had their share of public ups and downs but seemed to be in a good space as of late. But the ring and whatever else Cardi had been getting from Offset after his public plea to take him back clearly weren’t enough to keep the burgeoning icon happy, despite 2-year old daughter Kulture that they share.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, Cardi’s filed for divorce from Offset. Their real names were of course filed with the divorce petition, initiated by Cardi, in the State of Georgia in Fulton County.

Belcalis Almanzar v. Kiari Cephus is happening, even though it is also a contested divorce. If Cardi’s the main party that filed, then it can safely be assumed that Offset isn’t happy with her choice. Though there’s been no other public statements from the two of the since the news was announced, it’s not shocking to that many people on the Internet seemingly.

It was only a few years ago that Offset interrupted one of Cardi’s performances at Rolling Loud in which he asked her to take him back, making a lavish demonstration of his love after the pair had previously broken up over infidelity. Back then, Offset posted a video apologizing.

“I’ve only got one birthday wish, and that’s to get my wife back,” a day after his 27th birthday. He also went on to apparently address his reported infidelity by admitting that he had been “partaking in activity that [he] shouldn’t have been [partaking] in.”

Some had issues then with the way that the rapper even apologized publicly – by interrupting her set at the festival, in which she was the first woman to ever headline the event. Back then, Cardi still stood up for Offset – but one can guess that that won’t be the case the second time around.
