Fabolous and his longtime girlfriend Emily B could, unfortunately, be reliving a moment in their history that they have been trying to forget, thanks to rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. A recent Instagram Live session from Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd went haywire and has gone viral due to what seems to be an altercation between him and his son’s mother. Now, 6ix9ine seemingly wants to be a part of the action and is dragging fellow Brooklyn rapper Fabolous into the mix.
Slim Jxmmi and his newborn son’s mother, Kee, are no longer in a relationship and have not had the best history either. Back in September when Kee was six months pregnant, it was reported by The Shade Room that the couple called it quits after alarming allegations. The undocumented incident allegedly occurred while she was four months pregnant.
A source close to the situation reported to The Shade Room that the rapper had begun to spiral after the death of his father earlier last year. The same source also claimed that after the incident in question, Kee did not press charges due to fear of retaliation. The alleged incident reportedly propelled Slim Jxmmi to purchase a set of veneers for Kee in order to remedy the damages caused.
Now that Kee has recently given birth to their son, the relationship (or lack thereof) between the two remains unrepaired. The Rae Sremmurd member logged on to Instagram Live during a heated argument with his child’s mother, as he holds his son in his hand. It is apparent that the two can’t agree as she seems to accuse him of not being there for his son.
The rapper’s motivation to go Live to his fans is an attempt to prove that he is there for his child. He’s seen walking away as he talks to the camera letting the world know that despite her accusations, he is active in his son’s life. Kee is heard loudly in the background accusing the rapper of violence while also stating that he is kidnapping the child. The video soon cuts off.
Shortly after the video went viral, Hollywood Unlocked reported on it via Instagram. The comment section was swiftly lit up with interactions by an army of Instagram users. Enter Tekashi 6ix9ine, who upon viewing the video had some trolling thoughts of his own. “Y’all let fab get away with it so … you know what the truth ya don’t like ima log out,” he wrote. His comment also gained hundreds of replies independently.
Fabolous had a chance to speak on New York radio station Hot97 on the incident. “Looking at the video is different from being inside of it,” Fab said about the clip. “From the video point it looks crazy. I’m not trying to excuse myself, it was really more of, like, an internal thing with us going through the motion of what was happening—our emotions and a lot of things that was building up with our relationship and our family. It wasn’t about the video or who put out the video. It was more just about us getting back to the place that we need to be.”
Fab also offered an apology saying, “I apologize for coming across in the light I wouldn’t want to be represented in. I don’t know anything else…people make their opinions. All I can I do is apologize for being in a light that’s not showing my best self,” he said.
