Rapper Gucci Mane Robbed $5,000 From French Montana, Took Rapper’s Money and Ran Out Backdoor First Time The two Met, According Deb Antney

Deb Antney, outspoken former manager of Nicki Minaj and mother of Waka Flocka Flame has been a prominent figure in the ATL’s Hip-Hop music scene for some time. She also shepherded the careers of Gucci Mane, Safaree, and French Montana among others.

Lately, her position as a life coach and motivational speaker has garnered more attention than her previous career out of the spotlight. She also stirred up press with rumors of her support of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Recently, on an interview on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs, with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Antney shared some of her head-spinning history with the artists she represented. To the shock of the show’s hosts, she recounted how she learned about the relationship between Nicki Minaj and Safaree. “I never knew that they went together. I never knew until he took my car from her and she called me to block him up and he called me and that’s when he broke down everything. He broke down everything that they was together for the year – I didn’t know…She never, that was one thing about her, she never gave any inkling that anything was going on with them…like the way she was…I just thought he was – God forgive me – you know, I thought he was just a gay guy that was helping her,” she said.

She told another story during the episode, about French Montana’s efforts to make himself a hot commodity in the Atlanta market that shocked the program as well. “Gucci didn’t do French. Waka did. Gucci didn’t like French,” she explained. “The first time [French] went into the studio to do a song with him, he paid Gucci $5,000 to get on the feature. And he was just sitting in the studio and Gucci was gone out the backdoor. Gucci just took the money and left,” Antney added.

To make things right between the parties, Debra restored Frenchie’s lost funds out of her personal stash.

Look for more “inside baseball” on the careers of Nicki, Safaree, Montana and Gucci Mane to come from the charismatic music manager and CEO of Atlanta’s Mizay Entertainment.
