Snoop Dogg finds enough time to be funny in addition to his duties as one of hip-hop’s most legendary talents. The rapper often posts funny memes and videos to break up the seriousness of the world and what we’re going through. A particular meme sparked comparisons to another popular rapper – Offset.
Offset has spent the majority of 2020 in the press for a different reason, though it seems skies have cleared up. Earlier this year, it was revealed that his superstar wife Cardi B had filed for divorce and the Internet went wild with wondering what had happened between the pair again.
Their relationship has had its ups and downs but those came to a head when Offset’s stepfather wrote a lengthy post about the troubles that come with being the extended relatives of the husband of Cardi B.
A man claiming to be Offset’s stepfather, Tony Pla, posted about his son’s ordeals and how it’s not only affecting Offset, but also Pla’s family, grandchild and more – with him dropping some serious accusations in the thread at the same time.
“Right now, my family is going through a very tumultuous time,” Tony Pla wrote in a Facebook Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity group post, assuming it was private more than likely. However, screenshots have emerged that detail the whole thread.
“What you see in the media is only the tip of the iceberg. Social media is a powerful tool, but certainly no place for family situations; however, our youth, specifically my son’s wife [Cardi B] doesn’t understand that.”
He goes on to say that while Offset has not been innocent, he realizes that his child is under intense pressure from the lifestyle he’s built for himself. “I say this not to say that my son is innocent, as he has done his share of dirt, but the whole scenario is a never-ending drama session,” as has been his son’s career in general it seems.
Ultimately, Pla called the social media attention “depressing and tiring,” despite the fact that Cardi’s a “hot-headed female that thrives off of social media attention,” and finishes his post with a somber ending that surely relays how even the beginning of this divorce is taking its toll.
“I would not wish this on anyone. I would give anything to simply go back to being a schoolteacher and coach.”
Offset’s doppelganger may need to slide into place and tag the real Offset out in order to give himself a break, now that he’s been found by Snoop Dogg.
The rapper, posting a meme that featured a picture of an employee at Little Caesar’s, claims to have found “Reset,” giving the employee who looked a lot like Offset a new name to set him apart from his mainstream counterpart.
“Damn, Offset little brother Reset working at Little Ceasars,” wrote the Dogg on his post on Instagram at the time. The employee shown is wearing a ton of chains that are iced out and look a bit too expensive to be worn to work. He even wears similar glasses and has a flashy belt like the rapper wears.
