Rapper T.I. is learning that no matter how old, skilled, or knowledgeable that one thinks they may be, there is still much to learn. One can also still be corrected as well, no matter the age group. This lesson was brought to the Atlanta rapper by way of actor Boris Kodjoe on his own home turf – the ExpediTIiously Podcast.
Misery loves company. And T.I., along with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris, might have been looking for some type of co-signing from Kodjoe on the podcast episode. Boris Kodjoe, alongside his wife, were guests on the rapper’s podcast. Both couples shared conversation on a healthy marriage amidst the ups and downs within the entertainment industry. The difference between both couples is the level of privacy they keep from the public eye.
Boris and Nicole have been married for 15 years, while the Harris couple has been married for 10. Throughout T.I. and Tiny’s marriage, they have been faced with multiple instances of infidelity and “almost divorces”. On the other hand, Kodjoe and Parker have seemingly been able to keep their private lives, private.
During their conversation, T.I. asks the Brown Sugar actor how the couple make their lives seem so perfect in the public eye while keeping problems in-house. Kodjoe offers this response:
“I always say, life’s not easy but it’s simple. And what I mean, I tell my kids that all the time. If you make some right choices, life can be very simple,” the actor said. “There might be challenges that might come up, that you’re not in control of—which is the not easy part. But if you have a solid constitution of values and principles you can get over those challenges. And in a relationship, I think it’s the same thing. When you are willing to give the other person the space to mess up cuz we all human. You have to be willing to give your partner a chance to f**k up royally and not run for the hills. But to stick it out, grow through the process, with your partner as well as individually and you come out of the other end a better human.”
Seemingly discontent with his response, Tiny attempts to pry deeper into their private lives. “But my thing is, how do you keep it where it stays inside, stays in house. I haven’t heard any dirt on them,” she asks.
The Soul Food actor’s response felt like a subtle read, as the couple has not had a public scandal of any magnitude in comparison to the Harris couple. “I don’t think there’s a lot of major dirt but we also respect each other enough that I would never want to embarrass myself or her or the kids or anybody.”
Boris’s response led T.I. to comment that the actor is “making all of us look bad.” After the interview’s airing, social media praised Boris for his response. Here are some examples of their reactions.
I’ll never listen to that TI podcast but good on Boris Kodjoe for letting him know hes a piece of shit without even having to say it.

I’m listening to TI’s podcast and he got Tiny on there with Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Parker. And TI asked them how they keep their dirt on the low and Boris said “i respect my wife and kids enough not to embarrass them.” 🥴
