Reality Star Porsha Williams Under Fire For Putting Weave In 1-Year-Old Daughter’s Head, Now Blocking All Fans Commenting On Daughter’s Hairstyles

We live in a world where not only the parents aren’t the only one parenting their children, but so is everyone else.  New mother, Porsha Williams, is experiencing some backlash for a decision she has made to enhance her daughter’s looks.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Dish Nation star along with her fiancé, entrepreneur Dennis McKinley gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Pilar Jhena, on March 22, 2019.  The young princess is now 1, and has since been seen clad in different stylish apparel, thanks to her mother.  All summer she has been seen rocking different hairstyles, including braids.

“Mommy is getting better with my hair,” Porsha captioned one of the photos she posted on her daughter’s social media page.  Her father, being a support system for his daughter and fiancé, came into the comments to share his view, saying “Mommy is the best with your hair.”  Comments would pour in with many supporting the cute outfits, and the hairstyle choices, and also praising Porsha for raising her the way that she is.

Comments like “That dress is everything! Your Mommy has always made sure your hair was on point little cutie” and “You keep her so neat, and her hair is beautiful All the time,” would be placed under the pictures as folks gushed over the toddler.

The couple had a brief unfortunate split in June after being engaged for 8 months, but have reconciled since this month.  Porsha released a statement to E! News saying “These false and slanderous allegations against me are made solely to damage my reputation, jeopardize my ongoing businesses, and negatively impact my family.”

While some have appreciated the hairstyle choices, others have been a bit more critical towards it, directing the disdain towards the reality star.  Braids and extensions are usually used as a means for a protective hairstyle, but many are claiming that a 1-year old does not need the stress that the hairstyle may bring, especially to her edges.

“Who puts extension’s in a toddlers hair?? Like WTH,” writes one user under the comments.  Other comments would go on to mirror those sentiments, saying Porsha is “not smart” for this.  “She used to have edges though. She needs to stop those tight styles”, says another troll while someone else goes on to say “and Porsha has to know that’s what destroyed her own edges so she should have relaxed with Pilar’s hair.”

One user decided to bring her father into the conversation, saying “and her daddy needs to step in too. He can clearly see that’s too much. She’s 2 she doesn’t need to have weave yet.”  Since these comments have been coming like fire, Porsha decided to block all fans from being able to comment and had this to say: “B I N G O!!! Mom Note: a lot of you MF’s just got Blocked! I hope your comment about my baby’s hair was worth it.  Her hair is longer and healthier than yours so please mind y’all bald-headed business! Thank you”
