T-Pain doesn’t play when it comes to his family and will not spare any expense, even through rough times. It was recently reported that the Florida native had lost his fortune due to excessive spending, which held him in debt in different areas, including his former management.
Although the “Buy You A Drank” artist stated that he’s paid all that he’s owed to his former management and filed suit against them for $1 million. However, according to The Blast, Chase Entertainment, the group suing the rapper, begged to differ and filed a countersuit. “In a futile effort to come up with a negotiating strategy to help T-Pain leverage his way out of his irrefutable legal obligation to pay Chase post-termination management commissions, believed to be in excess of $1 Million, T-Pain finds himself reduced to fabricating absurd and baseless claims against his former manager. Despite repeated demands by Chase, T- Pain has refused to account to or pay Chase for their rightful share of commissions,” they claimed in a statement.
All the while that the “Rapper Turnt Sanga” had been dealing with all the legal issues he’d been facing, he was silently battling with family issues, ultimately leading up to the demise of a family member.
T-Pain logged on to Instagram to get a few things off of his chest, and inadvertently reveal to the world that he had unfortunately lost his brother after an unnamed man suggested he would still be alive had he paid for his hospital bills. Pain revealed that he dropped a whopping sum of money in the attempt to save his brother’s life. “My brother just died February 5, bro,” he says. “And this man just told me I let my brother die because of the hospital bill after I paid $2.2. million to the hospital. And he told me if I wouldn’t have paid more money then my brother would still be alive. Money don’t fix everything. You’re putting too much power in money. Why would you think that’s possible? N***a don’t even know how my brother died.”
He continued explaining how he paid $2.2 million in hospital bills and his brother returned home and had an accident that caused him to pass away. “How can money fix that? If money could fix that, all my family members would be alive.”
A few months before his brother passed away, he shared to his followers that his brother had been in the hospital while thanking the medical workers that did everything they could to preserve his life. The reason for his stay has been undisclosed, but he stated, “I first wanna say thank you to all the ppl that were involved in keeping my brother alive. I can’t express enough gratitude to the medical staff that kept my family whole. My brother was in two hospitals for a total of a month and some change. Just got the bills.”
T-Pain then shared posts revealing a detailed breakdown of the hospital bills, adding up to $1.4 million at the time: one bill for $1,132,746.67 and another tallying $270,231.40.
Condolences to T-Pain and his family.
