Clifford “T.I.” Harris and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, have come a long way in their marriage. For a while, many thought they wouldn’t make it, including the pair. Their marriage has been mired with rumors of infidelity while Tiny has filed for divorce multiple times, threatening to end her marriage to the Atlanta rapper for good. Ultimately, they’ve always seemed to pull it back together.

Most couples who go through their share of problems go to therapists or counselors to help find the common ground and bring them back to center. For the superstar couple, they may have done so, but due to their celebrity status and their decision to live their lives in the public eye, social media sometimes tries to act as therapists, offering unsolicited advice.
Tired of the thoughts, comments, and concerns of social media users as it pertains to the Harris nuptials, T.I. took to Instagram to share a PSA while on the way to the next tour stop on his Hustle Gang Tour. “If I didn’t need your blessings to get married…. if I didn’t ask YOU what I should do then…. What makes you think I need your advice now?” the rapper writes in the caption. “Just sit back & watch the show in silence. Put ya phone on vibrate & extra butter on ya popcorn.”
The Grammy-Award-winning rapper previously shared his views on marriage to Angie Martinez. “It seems to me that marriage and what marriage means and what marriage does …it’s just one of those things that’s going to distract me and deter me,” he said. “And that could be selfish, but ultimately, I’m the patriarch of this family and it’s my responsibility to take us onward and upward. I just have a purpose and I don’t always have the time to do the thoughtful and considerate things that a husband should do.”
Throughout their problems, T.I. said that his wife would always be his best friend no matter what. “That’s still one of the best friends I have in the world. I can just be a better best friend than a husband,” he said.
His words, including the choice of “distraction”, prompted Tiny to share a cryptic message of her own in response. Tiny shared a clip of a woman speaking enlightening words on God and how He “works in mysterious ways in our lives”.
“It’s nothing you can hide from God. He knows when we’re on a straight and narrow path and he knows when distractions come and we kinda get sidetracked, but he has a way of putting roadblocks to block the distractions to keep us on that straight path,” said the woman to which Tiny captioned, “And I’m good.”
