After rumors began to surface and circulate throughout social media, it looks like congratulations are in order for couple Zonnique (daughter to Tameka “Tiny” Harris and T.I.) and her rapper boyfriend Badhunta Izzy. The confirmation of the couple’s pregnancy came from PEOPLE, after two years of dating and keeping a pretty low profile.
You may recall this moment last year when her stepfather, T.I. revealed in an interview with Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham on Ladies Like Us, that he took his then 18-year-old daughter Deyjah Harris to the doctor every year to for a ‘purity’ test. This practice would begin the day after her 16th birthday with a sticky note being placed on her door simply saying “Gyno Tomorrow: 9:30.” When asked if he and his daughter has had “the talk,” T.I. (real name Clifford Harris, Jr.) declared, “Not only have we had the conversation, we have yearly trips to the gyno.”
All of this led T.I. to appear on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk where he claimed he had claimed he had “embellished” and “exaggerated” his story. Claiming that he only accompanied her appointments when she was younger, contradicting his initial statments, we continued on: “She did have a problem with me talking about it, however, and I understand that, and I am incredibly apologetic to her for that,” he said. “She understands my intentions and she knows who I am, who I’ve always been.”
On an episode of T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Deyjah candidly opened about her father during confessionals, and also to her cousins on a family vacation. “Things are completely uncomfortable for me right now,” said an emotional Deyjah. “My heart sank—very shocked, hurt, angry, embarrassed,” referencing finding about the interview via being tagged in a post on Twitter. She also shone light on the fact that her father treats her brothers differently from her as it relates to this same topic.
Recently, Deyjah wrote a series of tweets that many people felt were directed towards her father and their shaky relationship. She tweets, “Watch how you speak to your children. I don’t care how old they are, they still deserve the same respect that you expect in return…I still love you .. but from a distance. not because I don’t care about you, but more so for the sake of my own well-being and inner peace.”

Zonnique, Deyjah’s older sister, is not new to the limelight, as she was first introduced as a member of the OMG Girlz, then managed by her mother, Tiny. From there, she broke out as a solo artist, releasing a slew of singles, and a EP in 2017, Love Jones.
Now with the latest news of Zonnique’s pregnancy being announced, the future mother seems to be excited and is looking forward to the journey of motherhood. It was revealed to PEOPLE that she is five months into her pregnancy, and has labeled the journey “really easy” thus far. “It’s something that will mature me and change in a great way. Literally every year, probably for the past three years, this same rumor [that I was pregnant] had come out. This time I actually am pregnant. It’s weird!” Zonnique unveiled that she didn’t expect to be a mother so soon and that when she first found out she was pregnant, she was “sad.” On the other hand, Bandhunta Izzy was excited to be a father again, as this will be his third.
While she claims there is still a good portion of her loved ones that didn’t know, on the premiere episode of her talk show The Mix, she reveals it to her father T.I. during what appears to be a game. “By process of elimination,” he says in the panel, “i know it aint ‘Nique Nique’ so, imma say, anybody but ‘Nique Nique’.” This brought on laughter from the panel until rapper Romeo congratulates T.I. on being a grandfather, while Zonnique confirms. This news seems to stun the rapper, as his facial expression noticeably changes, saying “whoa whoa… come again?”

The news of the pregnancy has also found him back in the line of fire of the social media trolls. Comments under the video on TheShadeRoom’s post were filled with jokes directed towards the rapper believing ‘T.I hasn’t accepted it yet lol.” One user wrote, ‘Tip looks stressed chile. Another user said, Look @ TIP. He’s upset. Followed by another user saying “Somebody go check on pops 😂T.i hurting…. It wasn’t Deja after all”
