An untimely and unfortunate tragedy has occurred to a TikTok star, leaving a family without their son and the world without another creative. The life of popular social media star who went by the name “Swavy” was taken away due to a “senseless act of violence”, multiple reports say. In the midst of emotional and touching tributes to the budding star, Wendy Williams also had a bunch to say, and now “Wendy’s got the heat” from social media who are calling for her to be cancelled.
The TikTok star, whose real name was Matima Miller and also went by the name “Babyface.S”, was gunned down in Wilmington, Delaware. Details are scarce at this time, but the WPD is currently investigating and claim that they will release further details “when possible.”
At just 19 years of age, Swavy was able to amass a loyal fanbase of almost 3 million followers on TikTok. Additionally, his Instagram had almost half a million followers. The young social media influencer was known to create and post TikTok dance videos that would quickly go viral.
“All he did was make vids,” said his friend and popular YouTuber Damaury Mikula in a tearful and emotional video, who was one of the first to confirm the news. “He’s real as hell. Real, real. As soon as we [saw] each other bro, we was locked in straight like that. He keeps everything real.”
A report by The YBF shows that at around 10:42 am on Monday, July 5th, police were called to a Southbridge neighborhood in Delaware where they discovered Miller’s wounded body. Sadly as he was taken to the hospital, he reportedly passed away.
Sitting on his Instagram page currently is a portrait of Miller and his family, with a message that also confirmed his death to his fanbase. The family thanks his supporters for the love and state that “Unfortunately, due to legality we are not able to provide much information on the events surrounding his passing. However, the family is working diligently to get justice for Swavy.”
The family promised that “This is just the beginning, we will forever keep his name alive and continue his legacy,” they promised. “The impact he had on others remains unmatched 💯 out of respect for our family we ask that you please refrain from reporting false or unconfirmed information about Swavy.”
As soon as the news hit the Internet, many of his fans and supporters began to share messages of how much of an inspiration and great spirit Miller was. Who was not as respectful was talk show host Wendy Williams. Williams went viral on social media thanks to a recent Hot Topics clip where she discussed Swavy, but set up the news in a very wild way.
“I have no idea who this person is,” she said after admitting that she is not an avid user of TikTok. “Neither does one person in this building,” she continued. A few cheers come out from the audience when her producer shares that she has more Instagram followers than he does (or did), but the moment becomes extremely awkward when she makes the announcement of his passing.

Check out social media reactions below as many are calling for Wendy to be cancelled for the distasteful remarks.

The way Wendy Williams introduced that story about that TikTok star’s passing was offensive. I swear she still thinks she is on the radio with the way she discusses the news. She has always had a very dark spirit.
